Pro Taxi Driver Crazy Car Rush Driving Simulator

I needed something for a documentary I shot about a taxi driver and this worked just as expected. It attached securely to the hood of his cab and didn't come off (despite driving past lots of cobble stone/brick streets that rattled the car). Two of the latches look pretty thin (that secure the two suction cups) but if you're careful with them I imagine it will last awhile. Pretty good alternative to the other, more expensive mounts I've heard about. The Ball-head sockets made it easy to compose the shots I wanted. A little droopage, but if you compensate it'll do just fine. I shot with a Canon 5Dmk2 with a 35mm 1.4 and the mount seemed to handle the weight pretty well.

Adds a new level of interactivity to racing and driving games that greatly enhances immersion and enjoyment. I have driven automatic cars my whole life, but for playing racing games or Truck Simulator I really like having the added control and activity that manually switching gears provides. Feel more like a racer or a trucker. Quality is great, feels heavy and solid and mostly metal. Mounted perfectly to my wheelstand pro with RGS upgrade. Quality and functionality-wise I've had no issues with this shifter, it recognized automatically in Forza Horizon 5 without any configuration at all, and was very easy to configure in Truck Simulator with an SKRS truck shifter knob on it. You do need to install a software driver when you first set it up in order for it to work correctly, but it's very simple setup. It is expensive for what it is, but I don't regret the purchase at all because of how much it has changed the way I play pretty much any driving/racing game. After getting this, my setup feels complete. Just a note on the seller: I never ordered anything from B&H before but I was impressed with the quick order processing and shipping. I ordered the product later in the evening of Dec. 12, and received the product morning of Dec. 15. Good experience, I'd buy from B&H again.

First impressions of this lens are very good. It is heavy and feels very very well built. The focus and aperture rings are super smooth and focus is easy to dial in. Sharpness in the center of the frame is excellent yet soften up a little at the edges of the frame. This is really no big deal as in macro photography and portraiture you are going to go for a soft, blurred background. The bokeh is creamy and good. Now I would like to get back to the build quality. Those first impressions are very accurate. This lens is VERY VERY STURDY! While on a trip with a client in Peru, we had packed our stuff up and set it outside our taxi drivers car. I took my camera out to get a picture of the risin sunlight over the distant mountains. My gear was well away from the taxi drivers car, but somehow, he still managed to back up, make an unneccessary turn while pulling out and ran over my camera bag and right over the Rokinon 100mm macro. I was shocked and only expected the worst. Upon eamination of the lens, the worst of the danage was to the lens cap, which was just a couple dings. The lens suffered NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER! It works perfectly despite being run over by a car! I can definitely say that I would recommend this lens, or any other Rokinon lens. They are all build very sturdy and you can expect that they will hold up to even being run over by a car.

Useful if you want to be in the picture with all your friends and family and don't want to use the 10sec delay and rush like crazy to get into the picture and look like a bozo who make a strange face
