Professional 4K Video Camera For Documentaries

I stepped up to this unit for making documentaries and the camera is everything I wanted for this purpose. I shoot in 4k but can go up to 6k if requested. The expansion unit allows the use of plenty of audio sources and V plate batteries, which are a must. The form factor makes sense. The image quality is great. Having changeable mounts means you can use lenses from different companies with no worries. I set up with Canon lenses to keep the system consistent. It all works very well together.

This camera is an incredibly versatile machine; it has almost every capability a professional photographer could want or need including video up to 4K! The focus, metering, and picture control options are just too numerous to discuss. Needless to say, if you can't take great photos with this machine, then it just can't be done.

I use this camera for professional video and photo use and it performs excellent at both. Pros: dual pixel autofocus works smoothly (best in the market), beautiful canon colors, 4k, slomotion capability (60p and 120p), built in timelapse video function, HDR video mode, viewfinder 2 shows a lot more information, rugged build quality Cons: 4k has a crop factor, 120 fps slomo is only at 720p It's hard to find a camera that can do it all at a good price. I could have gone with the sony a7sii or a7rii but neither does well at both video and photo. While the 5D4 is not perfect, it bridges both creative worlds for the type of work I do which is weddings and family portraits.

We work documentaries, video clips and some commercials and the truth is that this camera has been an excellent purchase, we are satisfied with the performance and results of the work.

The HC-X2 is an excellent video camera, made for professionals, ideal for making documentaries, interviews, etc.

I shoot documentaries around the world and to be able to take time lapse from my SLR keeping my video camera free is great. I do find it odd that it never turns off, but who cares.

I have been able to make short films, documentaries, video art with an excellent performance.

This camera is perfect for professional photos and video.
