Professional Camera Settings Portrait

I use this product in my portrait settings as a professional photographer and it works well. I have had no trouble with it and the results are great. The light is easy to access as well. I recommend this softbox to anyone who needs to add some soft lighting to their portraits. 5 |

This product would work great for self portrait settings. I didn't realize you had to be in front of the camera or see the front of the camera to use it. I bought a cable release since. This control works well. 5 |

As a person who loves taking pictures--GOOD pictures--but has no desire to go professional, I felt constrained by my pathetic Nikon point-and-shoot, but didn't want to invest thousands upon thousands of dollars in DSLRs that various friends of mine had purchased. This camera is the PERFECT in-between camera. It quickly takes clear, crisp, pictures with beautiful color. Even with just auto mode, I feel like I get what I want when I press the shutter button, whereas before I would have to fiddle around with settings upon settings to try and get something satisfactory. This camera also has fun art modes to give your picture cool effects--great for those of us who are more Picasa than CS5 :) In sum, this camera was exactly what I was looking for. I just want GREAT pictures on-the-go without spending a bundle. This camera delivers, but has so much other functionality that it enables (and challenges me) to expand my knowledge of photography without feeling like I have to throw down my life savings to do so. Plus, could you ask for a better, or more retro-chic travel camera?? I argue no! :) Happy shooting! 5 |

I'm a hobbyist, still using some of the preset settings. Worked well. Switched to manual, and you have yourself a very professional camera. Outstanding for newbies that want to compete with experienced pro's. I have received glowing comments from the work. Get a real good fluid head/tripod, ZR2000 LANC controller and you're in business for real. Stunning results. 5 |

I'm a film production student, so I bought this as my first professional camera. I love it so far--it's a great in-between for industry freelancing and personal use. Since I'm familiar with the G4/5s and I read the manual, I know the ins and outs of the camera and it's really easy to use. Sometimes the settings are a little touchy and my clock constantly needs to be set, but it's not a big deal. It also came completely kitted out. I love the bag and accessories kit. I looked at other websites offering the same camera for the same price but without all the awesome goodies. B&H's version came with a bag, a neck strap, an extra battery, and a lens hood! I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for more than an amateur camera, but if you're going for professional or semi-professional use, you'll only be happy if you know your settings and formats. 5 |

Finally a true professional DX camera from Nikon. Best DX camera since D300. Only thing I don't like moving from D7200 is losing U1 & U2 settings. What I don't miss is all the auto settings & pop up flash. 5 |

I was a professional photographer of weddings and portrait work since the mid 90's. After shoulder surgery and backing away from most of the professional end of things I slimmed down my gear. I was always an avid pro DSLR user and lover but dabbled in some smaller formats along the way. The MkIII over a year ago took me completely by surprise. On prints up to 22x17 on my Epson pro printer it literally equally it's presentations of landscapes and even people shots. However the one Achilles Heel proved the fast moving subject tracking. Sony stepped up and in several ways refined a great camera into an amazing camera. NOW there is virtually no significant weakness in this version. Sure you may not expect the ultimate out of it in lower light, but if you shoot in decent light there's not much this camera won't do in spades. That lens is worth it's weight in gold for sharpness across it's entire length. I am not sure what another posters issues are with 4K stability, but I'm not finding that to be the case at all. The video is like pro level quality. Out of camera Jpegs alone are enough to impress. Sony's done a fine job refining this camera and to me and many others no doubt, it'w worth every penny and more. 5 |

This Pocketbox is great for weddings and portrait photography for on, or off camera applications, especially if you have a professional level flash with multiple settings. It comes with a nice zippered carrying case for easy and convenient storage. Has hook and loop straps to fit to any hot shoe flash. I've only used it a couple times but it seems to hold its shape well throughout the entire use. Its very light, I used it on my Nikon SB-900 attached to a d300s with a battery pack/grip so the lighter the better. I would for sure recommend this to anyone who wants, or needs to soften up their flash a bit without spending an arm and a leg. 5 |
