I'm not a professional. Still learning and I've bee eyeing a Nikon 70-300 mm but couldn't justify the price at this time for me. So after chatting with a B&H rep, I decided on this lens and I'm not sorry! I really like it, takes fantastic photos. The auto-focus seems to be fast, fast enough for me anyways. LOVE the macro--so fun to zoom in on tiny details. But like I said, I'm a beginner and learning lots of thing yet. If you want a 70-300, try this lens. For the money, it's appears to be a great bargain.

Not being a professional, I looked to B&H for assistance with my need for a quality affordable tripod. The Magnus VT-300 fit my needs perfectly. This tripod is so much more than I expected and it will fill my need for the foreseeable future.

Traditionally, 70-300 lenses have been seen as more of a consumer lens rather than a professional lens, but with this release Nikon really have given us an excellent tool at a much lower price point, and weight, than you'd normally expect from a telephoto. It is surprisingly sharp throughout the zoom range, and one of the areas that it really performs well is in the autofocus lock-on speed - very competitive with the professional-grade zooms. The main drawback that I can see is heavy vignetting, but this of course is easily corrected in post. If you want a lighter weight telephoto, but don't want to compromise on sharpness, then I reckon this is a great alternative. Used on a D850.

This is an incredibly sturdy and well built quality professional tripod. It’s very flexible for video. With $300 discount it’s a no brainer.

I am a professional photographer who has a lot of old negatives and slides. I had an 20+ year old Epson scanner that I paid over $* for. It did an OK job but was slow and big. I did a lot of research and thought about a film only scanner. The problem is most only do 35mm and are expensive. The first scan I did with my iMac looked fantastic. I can't image needing more than this one. Super sharp and good detail in highlight and shadow areas. I guess with technology getting cheeper this is the results, you a get scanner for less than $200. The software is OK. I use the home mode and it defaults to 4x6 at 300 DPI. But it automatically puts a crop around all the images and you have to go through and tell the software if you want to scan larger. I usually do 11x17 @ 300 DPI. I would say that takes a little over a minute to scan. I'll do a few each night and I already have several hundred scanned. I save as a TIF. Color files are about 50 MB and B&W about 17MB at the 11x17 @300DPI.

This release works really well for professional cameras. It's quick, simple to use and very adorable.

It’s a perfect wide angle to use with JVC Ls 300, a 35mm for MFT cameras, solid construction
