I bought this as a smaller, lighter alternative to my DSLR for still photography. I tried a variety of micro 4/3rds and APS mirrorless cameras, including Olympus EM10 ii, Panasonic G7, Canon M5, and Fuji XT20. All the cameras had their pros and cons, but for me, the Panasonic GX85 offered the maximum in terms of compact size and performance. Lots of great photo features, easy to use menus and operation, quick focusing (even in low light), impressive image stabilization, and good photo quality. The viewfinder is the camera's weak point, but is made up for by a bright screen that's surprisingly easy to see in sunlight (compared to the others). On top of that, its price point is amazing considering all that it offers. 5 |
