Professional T Wildlife Photography Camera

I'm not a professional photographer, only an enthusiast. But I enjoy owning professional-grade equipment. This camera is perfect for me. My previous experience was with SLRs and then a Canon 6D DSLR. For the 6D, I'd obtained a couple of L lenses; so nothing else except the camera body was needed. My niche in photography is wildlife photography, followed by landscape and then action. The 5D Mk-IV will satisfy me for many years to come. The touch screen is marvelous! Camera settings are a snap with it. The Auto Focus is a huge improvement over my 6D. For movies, it focuses on the subject and adjusts focus as it moves. This should also be great still photography for birding or rapidly-moving wildlife (which makes great subjects, by the way). The feel and weight of the camera is good. With the 400mm lens, I can still hand-hold when needed. With 30K mpxls, cropping should be more effective and eliminate need for a longer lens. The extended ISO range makes natural light nighttime pictures more effective. Can't wait to get up in dark sky areas for night time landscape with star trails or 20-second exposures. I'm going to have to revisit Zion and Arches, for sure; just to take night time pictures.

I am a semi professional photographer. I have been involved in photography for 55 years. I use this lens for portraiture, wildlife, and general photography. I like the clearness of the lens and its' color rendition. This is the best lense that I have had the peleasure to work with.

I have owned this gimbal head and us it almost every day as a professional nature and wildlife photography guide in the tropics of Costa Rica. It sees severe use under though climate conditions and the head had proven to be high quality. I love the large knobs and the smooth panning/tilting plus the drag controls on these two. I highly recommend this product.
