Professional Television Cameras

Great for professional cameras!

I'm a television and film professional and I purchase Matthews products every chance I get. This stand will not disappoint.

My son is a professional in the television production industry. We gave him the tripod as a gift and he is very satisfied with it. It is very sturdy; capable of supporting the large cameras that he uses in his work.

I use a professional 4K television camera and head on a weekly basis and wanted something I could use on my D750 DSLR to get more fluid shots. This head fits the bill. Smooth, easily adjusted and not too big. love it!

We run a professional television studio where clients occasionally require teleprompter service. The teleprompter software we use is PromptSmart Pro (Ver. 2.1.3) with VoiceTrack auto-scrolling on a 10.2 in. 7th Gen iPad. The Prompt Smart voice recognition works best with an external mic. After researching many mics for this application, we chose the Shure MV88+ for its outstanding quality and features. The MV88+ mic and app are well made and easy to use. It allows you to choose and adjust various electronic performance attributes to suit the environment of your shoot. Though we were looking at less expensive mics in this class, you get what you pay for, and in my opinion the value of this microphone exceeds its price. Last week, at the end of a full-day production, the Creative Director for the production team came to me and said, “The teleprompter has made all the difference in taking the stress out of our production. It has performed flawlessly.”  I highly recommend this the Shure MV88+ for tablet or phone recording and/or voice- activated teleprompting. We are considering buying a second Shure MV88+ for use with two camera teleprompter productions because both teleprompters will track the talent’s voice simultaneously.

As an assistant editor for reality television, I can claim that the Canon M40 is identical to the professional camcorders used on the field. The features are versatile, ranging from microphone inputs, manual exposure, aperture, gain, grid, and many more. You can even add 2 64gb SD card slots. If you have the M40 with 16gb built in, you could have an approximate 144gb of memory! That's insane. The depth of field is very nice. You can get close to the look of DSLR video if you zoom in on your object from a few feet away. There's many clips on Youtube and Vimeo taht will show you. The stabilization is the best I've ever used. If held correctly, you can walk smoothly and added image stabilization to your footage. You may not need a Steadycam anymore. I can't believe I just said that. The camera is outstanding and pars with professional camcorders. What else do you need to know?

I am a professional Videographer I also work for a cable access Public television station where we train community members in shooting and editing content that is of interest to them and the community. We provide equipment for them such as this Zoom controller which they all love. This is affordable and a great product

I am professional television producer and was quite aware already of the quality of porta-brace bags so I decided to order this bag as gift to a Amateur Dslr photographer as a birthday present. When the bag came in, I fell in love with it so much that I ordered a 2nd bag for myself. If your like me and paranoid about your equipment getting damaged and only like to purchase long lasting industry tested equipment, then this is the bag you want! Trust me , I've done my research, tons of it. This is the bag you want! If you have more then two lenses or extra gear, you may want to consider one size up in bags. This holds my camera , 2 lenses, flash, 3 filters, a light meter and my iPad. This is my highest endorsement for gear bags.

I run a television program that shoots on SDHC cards in XDCAM cameras and we never erase a card until the season is done shooting, so we need safe, organized storage for dozens and dozens of cards. These little memory card organizers are just the ticket--you can write on them to label each compartment and they hold the cards nice and safely. They are not really designed for field use though, you will want something tougher for that job.

For major television broadcast work: I use this to hang small cameras like Komodo, FX3, GoPro, and similar cameras on windshields for driving car interiors. If you want the camera to not wobble so much, maybe use the dual or single version to give your camera rig a second point of contact. Love it. Easy to use. Works great.
