Professional Tripods For Small Format Cameras

This is my second of these heads - I use them on Gitzo tripods with 35mm and medium format cameras. Great quality, smooth and reliable.

This is the classic Kodak Portra film for medium format cameras by which all others can be judged. It is a color negative film, suitable for prints or large enlargements. Great for the professional or advanced amateur alike. Ideal for professional portraits, or indoor/outdoor still applications, or preset action shots.

I'm female and just love to carry professional equipment that is small, light and portable. I have several tripods and monopods but this is going to be the one I will probably carry around the most for my BMPCC and my Olympus PEN F. This monopod is small, light and strong. And best of all it can be carried INSIDE my backpack or even in my hand without drawing attention to the shots I want to get. It was made for me!

This is a small and useful set of tools, just in case you need one. Practical to keep in you camera bag to fix cameras or tripods. These being made by Novoflex, they are well made and imaginative in their design like everything they do.

I have two of these on small tripods used with digital cameras weighing between 1 and 2 lbs. They are smooth, reliable and well built. The quick release mechanism is well designed. In use it feels like a helpful friend and not an obstacle. That can't be said for all tripod heads. This is one of the most pleasing heads I've ever used in over 30 years of camera work.

I shoot with many large cameras that need serious tripods. What I need though was something light enough to carry with me to small DSLR shoots but heavy/solid enough that I wouldn't compromise my ability to shoot great footage. This covers all these bases perfectly. ...and for the right price.

There are many tripods out there designed for the iPhone or small cameras., Because I was taken with Manfrotto's Klyp, especially it's ability to add an LED light or external mic to its shoe mount. I wanted a matching tripod. The Pixi provides robust support for the Klyp, plus it's stylish to boot. You can also close its legs and use it as a handgrip for run-and-gun type shooting. The only probem I had is that it showed up as a potentially sharp object in my carry-on luggage during an airport X-ray. However, that has only happened once, and it took all of 30 seconds to show the customs officer the tripod, who sent me on my way.

I use shoulder mount cameras mostly and I have two large, heavy tripods for them. I have a small Panasonic AG-DVC30 camera that I love but don't use that much so I couldn't justify buying a floating head tripod for it. A B&H salesman said Psst...hey buddy, go upstairs and check out what they've got. So up I went and I saw this VT-2100 by Pearstone. I saw I couldn't beat it for the money!
