This remote is very easy to program and use.

I don’t have to flip through the booklet searching for my devices’ code. Being able to hook up to 8 devices is great. I was able to connect to my roku steaming box, Apple TV box and TV. There were some features it can’t replicate on the original remote, but for the basic functions, this would do.

This L-bracket is one of the few universal brackets that I know of that can accomodate a small m43 camera like the Panasonic GM5, even when the camera is mounted with a fat lens like the Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 or 20mm f1.7. The problem is that the diameter of these fat lenses protrudes below the bottom of the camera and prevents the use of many normal QR plates and most universal L-brackets. This Desmond bracket has the 3 slots, with the outer ones being very close to the edge of the bracket, making it possible to attach the bracket to the camera without the lens edge getting in the way. So far I have not had any trouble with the camera slipping or turning in the bracket once it is tightened, even in the vertical position. As usual with Desmond products, the build quality is very nice.

I'm delighted to report that this bracket works great on a Panasonic G95. At time of writing, no one makes a dedicated L Bracket for the G95. Most universal brackets don't have a method to prevent the bracket from twisting, except rubber sandwiched between the body and bracket. This just doesn't work for most lenses larger than pancakes in vertical orientation. To further add to the challenge of finding a suitable universal bracket, I'm not sure why but Panasonic elects to place the threaded hole incredibly close to the front of their photography-centric cameras. Their hybrid (GH) cameras tend to have the hole further back. I had been on the prowl for a long time for a G95 bracket, and now the search is over. This RRS MC-LS L-Bracket works great. The two raised tabs fit nicely against the front of the camera body, and the main screw is able to snug the bracket to the body confidently. No twisting! The vertical portion of the bracket sits just below the left side of the camera body top -- it is sized exactly right for the G95. Not too long; not too short. The ONLY issue is that the wide loop we see in the product photo for a wrist strap does not allow for the battery door to open. I can say from experience though, that if the tab were not there the battery door opens freely without having to remove the bracket from the camera. This bracket fits the G95 so well, in fact, that it's as if RRS set out to design a dedicated bracket for the G95 and then had an ah-ha moment to create a universal bracket instead. But as they wrapped up the design they added the wrist strap tab feature, like on their other L Brackets, and in doing so missed making the perfect bracket for a G95. Thanks RRS for finally putting the elusive L Bracket issue to bed for me and my G95. B&H has a happy customer here.

I bought this for the Panasonic AG-UX180 camera. Others have reviewed that the LCD monitor is lousy in daylight. This blocks a lot of light; much better than simple 1-1/2 sided shades. Its a little cumbersome to put on; definitely not something done super quickly. But well worth having outdoors.
