Programming Lg Tv Remote For Sound Bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been experimenting with settings on the LG Sound Bar for about a week. Some of this was done blind because LG, like many companies, includes one page of very basic instructions. I found days later (in tiny type) it was my responsibility to download and print a user’s manual. On the remote some buttons are poorly labeled, others are not labeled at all, and we couldn’t find how to adjust sound up or down until I printed the manual. A black-on-black button (not helpful in semidarkness) which I would use probably more than anything else needs to have a color like other buttons. We tried using both optical and bluetooth connections, and there is a tremendous difference in what those options offer. With bluetooth, you use the TV remote to “accept” the sound bar prompt and can adjust sound up or down using that same remote. It also shows the sound level numerically which is helpful. With optical, it automatically turns on the sound bar when the TV is activated, but adjusting sound is done using the LG remote which has that black-on-black button, and no numerical level is displayed on the TV. Our preference is using bluetooth as it’s fewer remotes to deal with. In terms of sound, there is a huge difference between what we had before and the LG. You can adjust settings for more or less bass, and you really hear the difference with increased bass. It adds richness that is wonderful. Acting dialogue is crisp and clear. When music is played during a movie the symphonic effect is incredible. The range is terrific too. Having great sound brings another layer of enjoyment to watching movies. Since I just printed the manual yesterday we haven’t fully explored everything this sound bar can do yet. However, at this point, I would recommend the LG Sound Bar for the amazing quality of sound that it delivers. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG does it again by making an even better TV! The image quality is stunning in UHD and the Dolby sound paired with my LG sound bar is so crisp and clean sound. We watch movies on Friday nights and my family feels like they are in a movie theatre. It’s incredible! One thing many people don’t talk about is the remote functionality. I am including a picture so you can see if. I love how this device works as you can use it like a traditional remote. You can use it like a mouse on a computer and you can speak commands. Love it!!! We stream all of our TV with numerous streaming services and love the quick action buttons that gets you there faster. As if that is not enough it con control my Alexa devices by a very simple push of a button. The Technology, picture, and sound is nothing short of Amazing! I had the Tv professionally installed by a very reputable company and the installer continued saying how nice this Tv was. When he was installing we had the picture frame feature showing and couldn’t believe how life like the picture frame was. You can set this and someone would thing it’s actually a hanging picture frame. If your in the market for an awesome TV than look no farther.. This is the one! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG sound bar (LG Soundbar S80TR) has been a fantastic experience! It provides an exceptional surround sound experience with Dolby Atmos, completely changing how I enjoy movies and TV shows. The mobile app's ability to enable surround sound across all connected speakers was an unexpected but fantastic feature. Through the rear speakers with this feature enabled, it was nice to have a speaker closer to hear from than the soundbar below the TV. Of course, this will vary based on the size of your living room, but for me, it was beneficial! The profile is slim; it is taller than my prior sound bar, which might block your remote input if the sound bar sits below your TV versus wall mounted. I appreciate that the sound bar tells you when it is receiving a Dobly Atmos signal; I noticed this varies from streaming apps. The use of AI to calibrate the speakers based on their placement was impressive, and the software lets you test the new calibration or go back to being uncalibrated to see the difference! I did buy two speaker stands for the rear speakers to improve the setup. The process of setting up the rear speakers was straightforward, and the stands provided stability and improved the overall sound quality. Another use of AI in the speaker is the ability of the system to select the correct sound profile versus manually selecting it. One thing I would like to improve is the display. Instead of showing Optical output or eARC, you can customize the digital display to show, say, TV or whatever the source was. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is perfect for my bedroom. It enhances the sound of my LG tv. It’s small so it doesn’t take up a lot of room. The only drawback I have found is I have to use my cell with the LG sound bar app. The connection has to be linked each time I use my sound bar/turn on the tv. 5 |

We bought a new LG TV, and our old sound bar no longer fit on the mantle with the new TV. So we tried to find a smaller one, this was perfect. It's so small but powerful. Is it the worlds best sound bar? Well no. But if you are looking for something small and powerful, this is the one. Worth every penny! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Christmas arrived at my home early this year. I splurged on the 77 inch CX OLED TV in combination with the SN11RG Dolby Atmos/DTS:X sound system to replace my obsolete TV and surround system. The results were nothing short of spectacular. Once I plugged in the sound bar and speakers, everything synchronized instantly. I downloaded the necessary apps on my phone, and within a few minutes the entire system automatically calibrated to my room's dimensions. I searched out some demo Dolby Atmos videos from the abundant apps available on the TV, sat back, and for the next hour was transported to other realms. Somehow with two small rear speakers, a modest subwoofer and sound bar, LG managed to fill my room with jungle sounds, rain forest ambience, storms, crashing ocean waves, and space flight with unbelievable pinpoint accuracy. All this occurred in conjunction with the most beautiful television screen I have ever witnessed. The HDR contrast was exceptional. All the colors popped, and the black and shadow tones were pure velvet. These are my first LG purchases. Since it's a new system, the only thing I can't comment on is reliability. If that holds, I'll definitely by buying more of their products! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the LG Sound bar SG10TY. I recently bought a new 75 inch TV and was satisfied with the internal speaker. I wanted to try the LG Sound bar because of the sleek and sexy look. Coming out the box it was light and made me anxious to set it up. Had a few issues trying to set it up with the HDMI because my TV is already mounted and I wasn't able to find the correct port. When I tried to connect via the blue tooth, it easily connected. The sound enhanced the entire TV experience and makes me more excited about my TV. I also tried it with music from my phone, the Bluetooth between devices is seamless and it sounds amazing! 5 |

I use this sound bar with my LG G2 OLED. I am very happy with the sound quality and the ease of setup. The integration of the TV and sound bar was very easy using a single HDMI cable. A few settings on the TV to adjust, and the sound bar connects to it using E-ARC. The TV automatically controls the sound bar operating mode based on the content and passes digital audio to the sound bar. The one downside is that the HDMI inputs on the sound bar don't support 4K 120Hz video pass through (4K 60Hz max). To get around that limitation, I run my Xbox Series X directly to the TV HDMI input. The audio channels are then sent to the sound bar via the E-ARC link. A nice feature of the sound bar is built in Apple Air Play for wireless audio streaming from iPhone. I also use the sound bar optical input with my Node 2i player. Be sure to download the LG Sound Bar App. This gives you easy control of the sound bar if you want to use it with a source other than the TV. The app gives you the ability to run an audio tuning routine that will adjust the sound based on the speaker location and room acoustics. It also allows you to easily select sound modes independently of using the TV control. The speaker setup was simple. I just plugged the AC power cords in, and they paired with the sound bar quickly. It does not interfere with my 5 GHz wi-fi. For mounting the rear speakers, I found a well built, sturdy stand on Amazon: PERLESMITH Speaker Stands Height Adjustable 30-44 Inch. It supports the speakers just fine. Cost less than $50. Even though the cost of the sound bar was a bit high, I like the wireless solution that gives Dolby Atmos surround sound and the Air Play integration. It simplifies life in the family room. 5 |
