I have 2 of these drives. One is in my video editing computer for editing programs and the other is on my Ninja V. Both work great.

My main computer is split between an SSD drive for programs and a large hard drive to store my photos. I thought 2 TB would be enough to handle all my needs, but after four years the drive was getting full and performance was declining. I was thinking about getting a new computer, but decided to double the size of the hard drive instead. Purchase and shipping was flawless. Installation was fairly easy. I had backed everything up and the whole process took about four hours. Very pleased with outcome.

I have used this scanner, and its nearly identical predecessor DR-4010C for nearly 20 years. It is heavy duty and reliable, with no issues or problems. After closing my law office, I scanned and converted several hundred boxes of client files to PDF computer files, before shredding all the paper. This scanner easily processed everything, and more, and continues to work well. I quickly scan whole books to PDF computer files, before converting them to text with OCR software, so the computer can read them using text-to-speech software. It just keeps on working as it should. This is the singularly best piece of office equipment I ever purchased. There is good reason Canon still makes this model with no apparent changes. You bet, I would buy it again. Sidebar Observation - I enjoy using this scanner with Canon's new I.R.I.S. PDF and OCR program, which works well and is well worth its comparatively low price. I have used most of the other major OCR and PDF programs, including, but not limited to, PaperPort, OmniPage, TextBridge, ABBYY OCR, Foxit PDF, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro PDF, and several others programs, and Canon's I.R.I.S. application is my current favorite. This product has really improved computer speed. We were having issues with our computers slowing down when we were using Adobe Design Programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) but now it works great. Shipping was super fast too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer runs the latest office and internet programs alongside a virtual machine application with no problems. Feels snappy and quick.

I recently upgraded and built my own computer. This processor is so fast and I can run so many programs with out having to worry about it slowing down. Would highly recommend this cpu. Keep in mind you will need a graphics card since this chip does not have onboard graphics.

Transferring data from an old to a new computer is a bumber. There are so many programs that need to move, so much data. Before the move I went through the old computer and tried to delete old, unused, or redundant data and programs, a daunting task for sure but an opportunity to rid the drive of the unused and out of date information. That done there remains gigabytes of data that needs be moved. The usual method might be transferring what data is needed to an intermediary drive and then downloading and reinstalling the programs that use the information. This program automates most of that chore. I was able to do this without attaching a common cable to the two computers and was able to do the transfer over the home network to which both new and old computers were connected. The program alerted me to a lack of sufficient space on the new C drive so I moved some picture files to a separate drive. All in all this made a usually painful process into one that was just arduous and although I was uncertain about the results when beginning when done I was pleased with what had been transferred. Even the sign in and authentication codes for some programs moved eliminating the need for re installation. I would recommend this program.

I've been using the 840 EVO series for a while now on my one computer (500GB) and enjoying how fast programs load as well as much faster picture and video processing. The Samsung Magician works well too. So, I bought this one for my wife's computer as a surprise upgrade. I got the 850 Pro because it was the latest tech with even faster transfer speeds, though realized her motherboard was only SATA II. So I added a SATA III PCI-E interface which should still provide plenty of speed boost over what she had.I believe the Over-Provisioning allows for a dedicated area for SSD optimization especially when you are using a greater percentage of the drive for programs and I/O. However, on my EVO, I somehow lost me small partition used for that purpose and now it just complains that using a Raw partition can corrupt my data, so I don't over-provision. This doesn't seem to harm anything or reduce transfer speeds probably since I have plenty of free space left over. I hope I'm not shortening the life span. Maybe it will work better on this Pro version.

OMGOSH! That's what I can say. I've always been first in line for newer technology since the late 1970s. I still build gaming towers now. I tore my first computer apart to see how it worked in 1978. I was one of the original guinea pigs that purchased a VR headset back in the prehistoric VR days (chuckles). So, my review is going to be a little biased and leaning towards everything good for META and the Quest 2 headset. The smaller size and lower weight of the headset were the first mind-blowing things I noticed when I unpacked it. The ease of set up was easy yet frustrating as I didn't quite have the data transfer speeds I needed to access my previously purchased VR programs on STEAM. I fixed the problem by replacing my modem (it was old), purchasing a better router with WiFi 6 and dropped new coaxial cables (whole nuther story (smile)). That said, access to META Quest's programs was quite the different story. Set up was simple with a team of customer support agents always available to help. The video resolution and smooth rendition of the programs accessible through Oculus are awesome. The software provides all the graphic settings you need to tweak the hardware to allow a smooth handshake with your current computer equipment. VR is definitely the future internet playground for the entire world. Everything you can see and do on a laptop and PC you can do while using a VR headset (with the exception of lifelike 3D, of course)! Movies, travel vids, games, books, physical exercise programs, ... you name it, META can and does provide it. I can go on and on about all the wonderful things you can do with this developing technology but you'll have to purchase it and see for yourself. VR is the Disneyland (TM)/Disneyworld (TM) for the entire world and you don't even have to purchase tickets (laughing). Thanks META for this great opportunity to enjoy what is left of my life on this wonderful planet. You guys rock!
