Projector Screen Image Size

I wanted the most bang for buck i could find with clear image without spending a fortune on home entertainment. I have ceiling mounted set up projecting from the lounge ceiling into a open plan room 3.6m X 3.2M which i call my cinema room (my girlfriend calls it the dinning room). I set the projector at 4.1m which almost fills the 3.2M width of the room. I used the ceiling paint we had and followed it down to the far wall as a screen i bordered it top and bottom with the wall colour (dark olive green)but left the sides as i did not know the projection dimensions of the screen. I thought i would trial that way 1st before buying specific screen paint for the job however i am more than happy with the results with the current set up. The image is crystal clear with rich colours i have not noticed any rainbow effect at the edges of the image. I had read on a review don't look for it as when you do see it, it will be annoying, well i couldn't resist trying to see it and i don't. I would fully recommend this product it exceeds my expectations so much so that i don't bother to have it set to its full potential mainly to preserve lamp life, personally i have not played with any of the advanced settings to optimise the picture quality as i find the ' out of the box' settings are brilliant as they are. I understand that with a few hundred hours on the lamp the picture improves again at the moment i only have 30hrs. The menus are intuitive and the instruction manual is easy to understand and relates well to the screen menus. I like the white sleek design of the projector making is less obtrusive to the room ( blends nicely with the ceiling , white HDMI leads would be nice). from the reviews i read it is not the quietest projector on the market however we sit directly underneath the projector and i do not find the faint fan noise distracting to the viewing experience in fact i believe it enhances the cinematic ambience.... 5 |

I am very pleased with this projector. Projecting onto a 10' screen from a Blu-Ray player, regular DVD's look very good and Blu Ray looks excellent. 720P is definitely good enough for me. I think the uprezing of regular DVD's from my Sony BDP-S570 Blu Ray player improves the contrast and look of regular DVD's. I am super impressed watching regular DVD's this way although of course on analysis they do look softer than Blu-Ray discs. Black levels are not super black but are fine. In regular viewing I do not notice any DLP issues. If I scan my head back an forth really quickly I notice a bit of rainbow effect, but seriously who does that when they are watching a movie? I just did it out of curiosity! Projector is small, light and I see the lamps are comparatively cheap. This for me makes a difference as I do not have to think of the cost of running the projector when lamp replacement is half the cost of some other projectors. I am using the lamp on economy/long life mode and it is plenty bright. Fan is audible but not distracting once the movie is playing. The one issue that should be considered is placement. With only a 1.05x lens finding a suitable place to mount the projector and a suitable screen size and placement took a fair amount of thought. I would say the image quality is higher sending it a 720P image from the Blu Ray player compared to a 1080P image and letting the projector downrez. Also the projector switches from different resolutions with no visible hiccups when this method is chosen. Bottom line - for the modest cost this is an excellent budget projector. Rating reflects that. It surpassed my expectations. 5 |

For years, our old projector used the back wall of the church as a screen. The black parts of videos were washed out, even with the lights off. We got an Ambient Light Rejecting screen, which made the dark parts much deeper, but, unfortunately, it also darkened skin tones and colors. This new Epson Powerlite has enough punch (4000 ANSI lumens) that the ALR screen feels like a TV set. Skin tones and colors are accurate, and the dark portions are really dark, like they're supposed to be. The mounting of the projector was fixed, and initially I was disappointed that the throw distance was different from the old projector. At the tightest zoom, the image was larger than the screen by about 8 inches on a side. It was then that I discovered that the digital zoom had negative numbers and I was able to shrink the image to the size of the screen, There is a slight 8 glow on the wall around the screen which is hardly noticeable. I can see it because I know it's there, but no one else has mentioned it yet. The remote control is powerful enough to bounce its signal of the wall to activate the ceiling mounted projector. The old projector required exact aiming from in front of it to turn it on or off, The remote control also has specific buttons for each source which makes changing from VGA to HDMI really simple. Overall, I don't think I could be happier about this purchase. It has given our church a much better video experience. 5 |

I purchased this unit to mount an ultra-short throw projector on our stage electrical rigging for projected scenery in a musical. With this type of projector a fraction of an inch adjustment on the projector means inches on the screen so precision is paramount. The gear driven adjustments made aligning the image on the screen fast, easy, accurate and reliable. The mechanics are firm, not so tight that adjustment becomes jumpy, not loose enough to wiggle even the slightest bit. I mounted the unit on a pipe attached to our light rigging that is brought in and out frequently. After the initial installation, I never had to re-adjust as a result of the rigging going up and down and stopping suddenly at trim points, and my projections were always perfectly aligned to the sccreen I have used other mounts where you loosen a couple screws, move the projector by hand, then hold everything in place while tightening down the screws and there is no comparison. There's no need to try and compensate for the effects of gravity when you let go of the projector. The image you see while adjusting is the image you'll have after you've climbed down the ladder. All this and a similar if not lower price and there's no reason to go with any other system. 5 |

I've seen this projector in use before purchasing and was really impressed with the sharpness and brightness of the image. The image was even displayed on a 165 screen which is outside the recommendation of the manufacturer but still was usable for the application they needed it for. Upon purchasing the projector, I have thrown it on a 155 screen with great results. We are using it in a worship space for students at our church and it has really enhanced the overall visuals of the worship service. It has also opened up other opportunities for ministry in ways that our previous projection setup would not allow. I am excited to put this projector to good use for many years to come. 5 |

“This is a review for the Epson EpiqVision® Flex CO-FH02 Full HD 1080p Smart Portable Projector projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” I really like this projector alot!..... I have several Epson products and this is a winner! The set up was so easy and fast.... I am very impressed with how bright the projection is even in full daylight in my studio! Also, the Auto Keystone Correction was great!....Thats a huge plus for me. When I tilt the Projector up, it adjusts the image for the angle....Love that! Another HUGE bonus is the speaker!.....I was shocked at how good it sounds on its own... and that is VERY rare for a small projector. Impressive! The resolution on this projector is quite amazing!.... I projected an image equivalent to about 90 inches wide and it was super clear, and very sharp! I do wish that it had a zoom feature, but thats not a deal breaker at all. The fact that this powerful projector easily fits into a backpack or small luggage is fantastic! I travel alot and will take it on many trips. I do wish that it had more HDMI Ports.... but I can use an external hub. Big plus that I love is the Android feature! I use Android Phones and this will come in handy in so many ways! Overall, this Epson is a WINNER to me....its light weight, sharp, great design and very affordable!... 5 |

The projector is of a very small size and it gives an incredible image, even with light ambience, accepts several types of connections, it weighs very little, white combines with the room. It is the perfect complement, even for non-dedicated rooms, you don't have to be in the dark to appreciate it. It Works with movies, video games or from your PC. Definitely for lovers of cinema, we have your own cinema at home. It is as easy as plugging and using, a few simple adjustments, a very full and multi language manual. The packing of the impeccable projector. It is very important to calculate the projection distance and viewing. I am very pleased with the purchase. You have to see to believe. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We watch all things video, but mostly movies. We have Satellite and Off-Air as well as internet streaming. Our first HD TV was a Samsung 56" DLP light bulb rear projection set. It was the best for HD back in 2003. After 10 years though it failed and we purchased a 70" 4K flat screen. At the time there was no large size DLP 4K sets to choose from at a price we could afford. When that set failed last December we had to find something new. Our son still had his 56" Samsung DLP LED rear projection set (he was between homes and was not using it) and we put it in our living room. Wow is all I can say. I had forgotten how great the DLP was or had gotten used to the Flat screen. Seeing this 12 year old DLP still looking great and only HD was amazing. I had seen on the internet that Samsung had come up with a new short throw projector. So I quickly researched it to see what it was about. It was just what i was looking for. We had been wanting to get a large picture size for some time but couldn't justify the cost as our flat screen was working. When it failed it was all on to find the best and largest picture. The 130" screen size was perfect for our living room. Some have said what's wrong with a 36" screen, no comment is all I can say. When purchased the new Samsung projector we purchased a 120" screen designed for Short throw projectors was ordered. It arrived the day before the projector. All of our view is unbelievable, like going to the theater only you don't drive 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Epson EpiqVision EF11 is most magnificent Laser projector I have ever tried. I used many Epson projectors, they all have their cons and pros. But this? Epson Epiq is awesome. Not only the superb quality that Epson always delivers but also the size have impressed me. Never have I seen such a terrific quality projector in such a small size. Output is great, the further away and bigger the projection screen the better is the quality. Fan is very quiet, the output speakers on Epson is plenty loud. It does come with HDMI and usb ports for pc and usbs but I much prefer and liked the function that it has MirrorCast which I am able to project my whole phone on the screen, no lag, no bugging out whatsoever. The sheer size of this projector is great for travels, especially for camps, just grab a small generator for the power. Pitched the idea of implementing this kind of projectors to my school work place and they are looking into it. Highly recommend it just because of quality and size alone. 5 |
