Projector Screen Mount Hooks

I ordered this extension pipe for my projector mount and was unsure if it truly would do what I needed it to do. I wanted to get an extension to lower my projector to fit my screen better so I didn’t have to use keystone effect. This extension did exactly that. Not only did it fit my mount but with the 1” incriminates it was a perfect fit for my projector. Love it and would recommend to anyone. 5 |

I purchased this unit to mount an ultra-short throw projector on our stage electrical rigging for projected scenery in a musical. With this type of projector a fraction of an inch adjustment on the projector means inches on the screen so precision is paramount. The gear driven adjustments made aligning the image on the screen fast, easy, accurate and reliable. The mechanics are firm, not so tight that adjustment becomes jumpy, not loose enough to wiggle even the slightest bit. I mounted the unit on a pipe attached to our light rigging that is brought in and out frequently. After the initial installation, I never had to re-adjust as a result of the rigging going up and down and stopping suddenly at trim points, and my projections were always perfectly aligned to the sccreen I have used other mounts where you loosen a couple screws, move the projector by hand, then hold everything in place while tightening down the screws and there is no comparison. There's no need to try and compensate for the effects of gravity when you let go of the projector. The image you see while adjusting is the image you'll have after you've climbed down the ladder. All this and a similar if not lower price and there's no reason to go with any other system. 5 |

I replaced an old ceiling mount that was hard to adjust and never would quite line up the projector to the screen correctly. The Gabor solidly connects to the ceiling stud, and the other half which attaches to the projector the projector slides in and out of the ceiling mount with ease. The two thumb dials adjust the projector to the exact position needed quickly and easily. It is compact and close to the ceiling, important for our low basement ceiling. I hesitated because I didn't see many reviews, which is why I am writing this review--the smart design of the Gabor makes me regret putting up with the old mount for way too long. 5 |

This is a very nice projector mount. We use it at our worship center to mount a projector. It is very nice. And I think I could have easily gone with the Peerless-AV Projector mount that was $ cheaper without sacrificing anything I need. I'm not why there is a bigger box and a higher price tag on it. I'm guessing it's the level of refinement on the angles, but I can't tell a difference at 15'. Maybe at 50' you could, but for walls that are 15-20' I can't tell. 5 |

Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us. 5 |

Love it. It was easy to install and works like a charm. I purchased 3 12' Manfrotto Alu-Core crosspoles to go with it, because I wanted to mount 9' seamless rolls, while having the varipoles be 12' apart. Then just stuck a little paper/wad of tape in between the crosspoles and seamless to make it tight enough that the pulleys would still work. I do wish that there was an option to have the three hooks mount in-out instead of up-down. Our ceilings are only 8' so the bottom two backdrops are not taking full advantage of the ceiling height. I wish they made hooks that could mount away from the wall instead of along the wall, so that each backdrop could have a full 8'. That's my only recommendation! 5 |

I use these to mount or hang just about anything on a light stand. I use them in conjunction with pole hooks to hang a paoer pack from, or a 5/8 Pin to hand a light from, or background hooks. 5 |
