I bought this Manfrotto 183 Aluminum Projector Platform to be used with my Optoma HD142x projector. This thing is really SOLID. I'm sure it could get run over by a truck and still be perfect for use. Please keep in mind that the solid aluminum does pack a little weight and you'd be fine if you're okay with that. I conveniently have the Manfrotto 190XPROB legs with the 804RC2 head to be used with this platform. It's perfect. 3-way pan/tilt allows me to adjust the position of the projector conveniently to align with the wall with minimal use of keystone adjustments via projector. I think what would make this setup superb is if there was someway to make a cage for the projector in the odd event that it falls, the projector is safely affixed in to avoid falling and hitting the ground hard. On a side note, I find that the weight of the platform does keep the legs anchored into the ground and feels safer. To use it, all you have to do is get the tripod head's mounting plate and screw it in the bottom of the platform with its provided thread and you can mount it on the tripod like a camera does.

Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us.

This thing worked great. This is just what I needed to get my screen up and another screen to my projector up at the same time in my sanctuary. This was great.

Soon after I got my R5 it was on a tripod about 2 feet off the ground. An unexpected gush of wind knocked my RRS tripod with camera to the ground. The camera's back viewing screen was good, the Expert Shield was shattered. The local camera store said the shield save my screen and money. Other reviewers had problems with bubbles. It is always a concern. Mine went on without any bubbles. I put these glass shields on all my cameras. I have never had another one shatter

While shooting a job in bright sun with snow on the ground it was impossible to see what was on my screen. The HoodLoupe solved the problem. Now I can see in the light.

Small, lightweight, ground breaking dual pixel AF, articulating screen, updated 24MP sensor, latest digic 7 image processor. Performed flawlessly with the 55-250mm IS STM and 35mm IS STM Macro. Attached images are with no sharpening. Canon's Digital Lens Optimizer does the magic.

I am using this tripod for shooting low shots from the ground with a remote cable connector and the back of my camera's articulating screen.
