Actually kind of remarkable, made my stereo (marantz amp, ps audio dac) sound much cleaner. Like putting premium fuel in a high performance car.

Using this to get digital audio from an Android phone to an outboard USB DAC. Works perfectly.Haven't tried to connect a flash drive, but assume that works too.The housings for the connectors are also very small, keeping this from being a bulky connector.

I needed a few 10G SFP+ to RJ45 Adapters for my tp-link 10G router and 10G switches, where a DAC cable couldn't be used. B&H had them in stock, the lowest price, and the fastest shipping. Keep them spaced out and wear gloves when removing, they get a little warm.

Works great with my Chord 2Qute DAC, Dayens Ecstacy III amplifier, and Triangle Esprit Comete EZ speakers. A very nice boost in overall performance! Bass is much better / tighter with a greater sense of pace. Interesting and improved presentation for Redbook CD's in a very good way! I am very pleased with the purchase, and BHP is the bomb for customer service and fast shipping coast to coast! Recommended product and dealer!

This unit must have a great DAC on board, because the quality of the audio is ahead of any of my other music sources.

My friend tried this product and was amazed of its performance. I was spending multiple hundreds of dollars on cables and still unable to get the performance I was looking for. He recommended to give it a try Little about my connections. My digital Transporter do not have AES/EBU output while the DAC has Input. So I use RCA to BNC adapter at source end, BNC coaxial cable for transport and this device connected to DAC AES/EBU input. I was surprised of the improvements it has brought in that not even top notch so called musical digital cables could bring in. The improvement is immediate over using direct coaxial connection. Very clear vocals, expanded soundstage, detailed and smooth sound with no digital harshness and overall resolution is unbelievable at this price. Use this with a good RG-59B/U coaxial cable (I am using one from Belden 8263 terminated by Tektronics for industrial use) and you will believe all that I experienced. If not anyways B&H awesome return policy is there is help, which trust me you will not need. Construction is solid. I was using it for just under a month while my friend has been using it for over a month. We connected/ disconnected multiple time as well as transported it in pocket to try on different systems. So far it lived our expectation, not experienced any issue or problem with performance. I constantly change gear and cables, however, this will be a keep forever item.

I needed to add a separate streaming Roon end point for headphone use via a DAC. I looked at what was available to stream with a noise free and good time output to a DAC. iFi ticked all the boxes at a very low price point when compared to other options. The Zen has SPDIF and USB for the digital DAC outputs. I used the USB. Both Outputs have tech to insure that noise/timing issues has been limited to a minimum which is very important ( Rubbish in means rubbish out). Ethernet used since this ensures no dropouts or throughput issues. You will have to set the system mode selector (Roon for me) so again one should know what you are using or plan to. It was straight forward to set up by going to ifi websight (internet search if in doubt). Performance wise this sends a very good digital stream to my DAC. No issues with timing or noise. The imaging and musical enjoyment match my Roon driven /SSD NAS / Meridian MS600 endpoint. So full thumbs up for very little money.

This box does one thing and does it well. It takes the digital info off your CD and sends it out a digital port. It does this with impeccable timing circuits so that there is no measurable jitter in the output data frequency. You will need an off-board DAC to convert the digital to analog signal. This can be a Stand alone DAC, or one that is built into your integrated amp or preamp. Highly recommended.

I''m using this as a digital source for a high end system and find it more than adequate for streaming hi-Rez files. I use an external dac which improves clarity and separation but the internal dac isn't bad either. It isn't as revealing but has a nice low end push and rhythmic snap that makes it fun to listen to. Something I noticed in connecting to an external dac is the optical output had a significantly better sounding signal, particularly in the mid to high registers. I don't know if if this is on the Bluesound side or my dac, but the difference was not small so worth comparing on your own system. The bluesound app is a breeze to use and the MQA radio stations sound great. I was prepared to spend more, but after a few weeks with this I'm not seeing any reason to.

First, let me start by stating that I am not a habitual audiophile, nor have I comparison reviewed countless products. Just a guy with an appreciation for music, a moderate budget, and enough desk-time to make a decent setup worth the investment. For reference, I am currently using this product in combination with the Master & Dynamic MH40 Over-Ear Monitors and TIDAL's HIFI digital streaming service. In sequence, this product was the third of three items that comprise my setup (monitors, streaming product, & dac - in that order). After purchasing good headphones and upgrading to better source material, the final piece was to eliminate the onboard sound processing on my MacBook Pro. When combined with other high fidelity products, this DAC made a noticeable different in the overall quality and listening experience. The sound is more warm/full and the notes more sharp/precise. I went with this particular DAC over some of the other similar (portable) units because of it's no-frills, all value feature set. USB powered, physical volume, and the ability to power headphones or desktop monitors. No on board EQ, gain, display, or anything else that may distract you from the core purpose of this product (to decode digital audio). I also went with this unit because other folks who are qualified to compare this product with others of similar likeness gave it high ratings for it's audio dac performance. Super happy with it. Would buy it again / recommend to friends.
