This is just an excellent flash that photographers need at nighttime. There are many flashes that are bright and strong, but this one is having an added convenience that's so critical to night-time photography: red light. Simply rotate the dial on this flash and red light is immediately available. This is so useful when I need to stay in the dark for longer period of time and use my Nikon D4 and other stuff for preparation for sunrise, shooting stars, etc. Red light is so much better for your own eyes and also doesn't disturb other photographers. I don't use the blue light though. This compact Pelican flash does the job so well. Love it. 5 |

The eyeshade shuts out light to the degree that it makes it easier to use the viewport on the camera. Have no problem using it with my glasses when I take pictures. 5 |

I always purchase the Hoodman Eyecup for all my DSLR camera bodies. Shuts out all distracting external light but make sure you buy the correct size to match your camera's viewer (square or round). 5 |

Functions as advertised. The green signal LED does vary in intensity with signal at the lower levels and flashes red when clipping occurs. And there is a USB cable in the box although the adverts don't mention it as In the Box. 5 |
