This thing is no joke. I live on the fourth floor in an apartment and I still get signal on the ground. The set up on the controller is good. Even easier with the app. It’s not for those that aren’t willing to put in some work, but it’s well worth the work. 5 |

I have not tested the range but I know the signal from this controller gets to the camera all of the time regardless of where I am holding it. It is not clear to me if the controller can be used for multiple exposures, so far it only works for single shots. I intend to keep it. 5 |

This AP puts out a strong signal across my property, and with a suitable 802.11ac receiver I am able to obtain up to 800Mbps of actual throughput. Configuration is dead simple; don't let people who don't understand what this device actually does fool you. It is NOT a gateway, and cannot be plugged directly into a modem/on a switch with a modem. You will need a separate firewall/gateway/DHCP server. Download the Ubiquiti app and follow the directions to configure it as a standalone (no controller is necessary for one or two APs, although the controller gets you more features.) All in all a great product at an extremely reasonable price. 5 |
