This controller has been a very helpful, performance-improving addition to my AG-DVX100B.It addresses one design flaw of the camera; namely, the fact that the zoom rocker and focus ring are so far apart. Tripod operation with the camera itself is difficult. If you operate the zoom lever with your index and middle fingers, you are forced to operate the focus ring with your* Then, you have to move your hands around to press the record button. The designers of the HVX200 and DVX100B haven't make tripod operation the easiest thing. This controller solves virtually all of those problems.This device gives you multiple options, and they work well.-You can leave auto-iris and auto-focus, and smoothly operate the zoom and tripod with one hand.-You can switch to manual iris/focus, and operate everything with two hands on this controller.-You can operate the zoom with this controller, and operate the camera's focus ring with your other hand.This controller's zoom control is sensitive. I have been using a Timer Remote controller for years. Makes life and pictures so much easier to just press a button when some one expects you to use the camera. It allows you to get good steady shots all the time even when they don't expect it. Works even better when left alone at an event and it just keeps shooting every 30 seconds for hours giving you shots that no one knows how you took. A must for every event photographer. It works best with a tripod.
