Great button layout, and easy to use

Superior sound. Love the layout Of this controller. Thinking of getting the rane one but decided to get the rev7 because of the onboard effects and the layout of the mixer. It's fun to play with

This is the perfect controller. The mixer and layout are top notch, everything is in the right place. The platters feel smooth and grip well, works really well for scratching and beat juggling. I prefer this over the Rane One.

Some say it makes the OM-1 too big. I think it makes it perfect for so many situations. The button layout being the same make shooing portrait nice. Has a great feel and helps balance the body with larger lenses. Also build quality is solid.

If you're doing video, there's not a lot here you won't love. You know the specs, but the customization on the button layout and mode knob make this the easiest camera to use. Take some time and set it up how you like to use it and never look back. Such a great camera. Pair it with a Sony GM lens and be prepared to have your socks blown off.

I like the menu system and the control button layout. The lack of a second SD card and an earphone outlet is a downside making this camera lean toward consumer rather than pro. With the kit lens it is a very good value. Should I upgrade to the GH5 the lenses will all work. All in all I am pleased with my choice.

This camera is amazing!!!! From the larger easier to hold grip to the button layout and the amount of customization you can do to this thing blows my mind everytime I pick it up. HUGE advances in how a camera should function from the a7iii!!! The view finder is absolutely beautiful and looks so much more crispy than the last iteration! Can't wait to see what other crazy pictures I take on this thing!

To be fair I did no research into this when I bought it. I needed a zoom controller for my Ursa Broadcast G2 as I'm using it on a tripod for sports, and this is pretty much the only game in town without dropping gobs of money on a Fujinon controller. (I'm using the Fujinon kit lens in the G2 combo package). I knew it had the zoom rocker, zoom speed knob and a button behind the knob. What I didn't really is how agile this thing is. I didn't realize there were also 3 buttons under the handle as well. Just messing around I had the speed knob set up to be a focus knob, the button behind the knob set to trigger autofocus, a button underneath (there's actually one on either side of the handle but they're paired together to do the same function) to trigger record, and then the other two I set up for preset Focus A and preset Focus B. Shifting focus between the two presets was fast and precise. Will I ever actually use all the buttons? Probably not, I just wanted a zoom control. But I do see the ability to use the zoom speed knob as a half-baked focus wheel being useful down the road. My only real gripe is the mount. It's gigantic, and there's no adjustability. It took a bit of fiddling with my tripod to get it in a position where it was comfortable to use without the tripods arm getting in the way. It would be nice if there was a way to change the angle a little bit

This controller is used to operate a Fujinon lens on a Sony HVR-S270. As with previous Varizoom products I have had, the quality is great and it does all it is supposed to do at a great price.The main negative for me is that I don't like the record/pause button right next to the zoom control. You can accidentally hit pause when you don't intend to do so. I put a cap over the record button and tape it down to avoid pausing by accident and losing important footage.
