Needed more USB 3.x ports with a controller, didn't need to be bleeding edge Gen 2.2.abyx.v10 (3.2 Gen 2 or above). Did some light research, and really wanted to avoid Renesas from a previous experience. The card also needed to fit into a PCIe x1 slot, and other cards looked... dubious, with their USB C ports (3.0 x1 can't support over 8Gbps). Also don't have many C to C cables or devices that use it. Don't need it to power devices beyond flash drives and just drive a powered USB hub with wireless receivers. Installation was straight forward, and Windows picked it up immediately.

Seemingly simple product made even better, The red edge is a nice highlight, but I want to be more discrete at times and the all black is the perfect way to do that.

I got the 1/2, it’s just subtle enough. I am happy I got the black version rather than just regular glimmerglass. It keeps the darkness in shadows and only takes the edge of bright highlights.

This is one of the few filters you can't identify without either a flashlight or reading the edge text: it looks like a deep, black/neutral density filter. A flashlight will show read looking through it. Usually, you need to pre-focus and switch to manual before putting this filter on, to get focus where it needs to be. My R7 can figure out exposure with the filter on in daylight... at dusk, you gotta do the math, but it has nice effects.

So the wife and I bought our first house recently, to celebrate I splurged a bit on the living room TV and picked up a Sony X90L as I knew I wanted local dimming. All of my other TV’s are edge lit Samsung and LG units, the Sony X90L is my first “Nice” TV, the local dimming is 100% worth the cost. On movies the black borders along the edges are actually black and crisp instead of washed out black from the intense edge lighting. My only regret is now I have to upgrade all my other TV’s now because you cannot unsee just how awesome it was. We did not go OLED due to burn in risk, and Mini LED was out due to cost. If my X90 broke today I would buy another one tomorrow. But if it’s anything like my PlayStations it’s a freaking tank of a TV.

Ive used this product once, it worked great for head shots. One note, there’s black straps on the edge that can be visible through the grey side if there’s any strong ambient light. I didn’t check to see if the same goes for the white side, I used it very briefly. I have yet to really attempt to fold it up, after a few quick attempts I decided that I need to tackle it after watching a tutorial or following written instructions. Haha

I had ordered a cheap 5 in 1 reflector from Amazon and returned it because it was cheap and had a huge black border around the edge. Also not 12. This diffuser is well made and the size is perfect for field macro shots of flowers etc. I can fold it up and it fits in my pants pocket like it's not there. Love it.
