Psa1 Microphone Stand By Rode

The Rode PSA1+ does a great job of addressing many of the issues that the the PSA1 experienced while keeping everything that made the original great. the arm is extremely sturdy and wobbles very little even when bumped, but it's still quite easy to move out of the way when you actually want to. In terms of improvements over the PSA1, they've added a plastic washer to the part of the arm that sits in the stand which makes the rotation of the arm sturdier and smoother. Additionally, the springs are less aggressive when there is less weight on the stand and the fabric covers prevent you from pinching your fingers in the arm, making the product much safer to handle overall. The only controversial bit of the PSA1+ are the RODE logos on it (four on the arm itself, two on either side). Personally I don't mind them, but for those that do, it's simply a print on the fabric which can be removed or covered with a little bit of effort and no damage to the product.

The Rode PSA1 Boom Arm is amazing, especially compared to my last one. The price is definitely worth the build. It's sturdy, tall and long, perfect for my Shure SM7B microphone. Currently using both for streaming as well as vocal recording for my music, and the versatility of the boom arm has become a necessity in making both of my passions happen. 100% recommend!

While I am already a huge fan of RODE products this review continues that praise. I have used other arms that are spring-loaded and just can't support the weight of RODE mics or other well-made mics. When I decided to upgrade to the PSA1 I was skeptical. However, the RODE PSA1 surprised me at how well it is made and how sturdy it was with the RODE PodMic, which is a heavy mic. I would highly recommend this boom arm to anyone who cares about having a peofessional grade boom arm at a great price.

This PSA1 Studio Boom Arm works exactly as expected partnered with my Rode Procaster mic. I absolutely love it and would recommend it for a heavy mic setup.

Build quality of the Rode PSA1+ is top notch, arm stays in position and doesn't 'fade'. Mic attachment part is well designed and whole arm is easy to adjust to any position/angle. Item is of good quality material. I'm using it with my Rode PSA1 Boom Arm and Electro Voice 309A Shock Mount for easy swap with my other shock mount. A perfect add-on to lessen the wear and tear of the threads on both boom are and shock mount.
