This is great for instrumental recordings. The 32bit allows huge dynamic range and avoids clipping. User interface is easy to navigate and intuitive. I use it for instrumental videos and record brass, strings, and pianos and have had great results that require little processing.

If you need an inexpensive microphone for voice recordings or public address, this microphone can meet your needs. Its put together in a sturdy metal shell. The soldering on the wires is not very good, and the wires are very thin. There is no transformer, so it does not have true balanced output. But for the money, it rocks! I call it a disposable microphone. If your mic users tend to drop mics or walk off with them, this mic is a good choice because you wont be out much money! B&H service was fast and the shipping time was reasonable.

Most studios, even with acoustic treatment, will have inconsistencies within the frequency domain caused by furniture reflection, stubborn low-frequency room modes and, in the case of a multichannel setup, slight delays and phase differences between the speakers. Sonarworks corrects for all of it, and allows for plenty of customization according to the engineer's listening preference. The calibration takes about 20min for a stereo set, but the difference is night and day. It will not replace acoustic treatment, but it surely is a big cherry on the cake. Mixes translate more easily, and I don't spend hours checking if a particular resonance or frequency build-up is caused by the room/speakers or by the mix itself.

The SM57 is an instrumental mic but it still works great as an interview mic as well for videos.

We were looking for a mic that would work with vocals and instruments for Old Time and Bluegrass bands. This mic is better than we dreamed. Easy to balence. Works great with our small mixer. Great price, great product!

I play in a Bluegrass band - we use two C3000s for lead and harmony vocals at our regular gig. We get great reproduction and gain before feedback on stage. And B&H had the best price and cheapest shipping online!

Great little multitrack recorder that is very powerful. Using this to record an entire album with a bluegrass band and it works perfectly. Audio can easily be exported and then put into any DAW program for final mixing if you prefer or everything from mixing to mastering can all be done on the unit itself.
