Push Button Remote Car Starter

Works great. I like it better than the wireless remote because of the focus function on the button half-push.

The wired remote is simple and easy to use. With the one button push and side it is easy to use in dark situations.

If you can push a button, you can operate this remote shutter device. I needed a remote shutter control for night photography. Most of the sensors for wireless remotes are in front of the camera. I wanted to be positioned behind my camera. This remote puts me in control of my shutter speed in bulb mode. Love it!

I recently purchased this remote for bulb work on my Canon. The ease of the push button is nice and easy as well to lock and unlock. Now I find myself using it all the time now in the studio.

It's no surprise that when you stand in front of the camera and push the button, the remote triggers the shutter. There does seem to be some confusion in reviews, both here and elsewhere, as to the remote's ability to focus the lens before triggering the shutter. This remote is capable of focusing the lens before triggering the shutter. However, it will not focus the lens if the photographer has already pushed the shutter release button on the camera half way down to focus the image or if you are shooting in Manual mode and have AF-C set as the Autofocus mode. This means that if you are composing a photograph and push the shutter button half way down to focus the image and you then stand in front of the camera and push the remote button, the image will not focus because you've already pushed the camera shutter release button half way down to focus. To get the image to focus while you are standing in front of the camera, compose the shot but do not push the camera's shutter release button half way down, get in front of the camera and then push the button.

Excellent so far. Remote is not working properly at this time. It makes 2-3 moves at a single button push. I will keep working to solve the issue.

Works as advertised on a Nikon D800e in the place of a wired remote shutter release. Used with 2 PocketWizard Plus III's, the button half-push for focusing IS available. However, most of the time I use it with a FlexTT5 on the camera and remote speedlight, and trigger with a Plus III. In this case, there is no half-push. Pressing the button focuses and shoots in one push.

I have the wireless remote but I purchased this one because it allows you to push the button half way down in order to focus. Very nice accessory.

If you want to be in the shot, just set your camera for remote, set the duration 2-10 second, and POINT and PUSH the button. I have found when shooting scenics etc., I utilize the cable release as you can stand next to or behind your camera as opposed to using the remote to trigger from in front. It has it's place. It is small and takes no space in the camera bag so it is always there for me.

This is a great addition to my Canon Camera. I no longer have to depend strictly on the timer when I want to get into my own pictures. I can set everything and then causally walk into the place where I imagined myself in the picture. The when everyone is ready, I can push the button on the remote control and take the picture. I can also have the camera sitting in a spot in the room and when someone walks in push the remote control and take a picture without the person even knowing it was taken until I later show it to them. I do not know how I ever got by just using the timer alone on my camera. I will be using this remote button often.
