Put Computer To Sleep With Keyboard

I got this workstation to be able to have both my computer keyboard and my synth in front of me when producing, and it does a fantastic job at that. I don't even use the keyboard tray for the keyboard as I find it a bit too low for me so I just use it as extra storage, but the fact there's an upper platform for the screen and such gives me SO MUCH ROOM that I can put both the synth and the computer keyboard in front of me on the main surface. The upper platform is pretty big as well, I can easily fit my 23 screen as well as 2 studio monitors. I was worried it would be a bit cramped there but it's not! And it's pretty deep as well so I still have plenty of room on the top platform to put random stuff there if I need to. I like that there is two possible positions for the upper platform (closer or further back). I put it closer to me because I'm in a pretty small space, but if you have the room, you can put it further back so it opens up a bit more the main surface. It was pretty straightforward to build, only the keyboard tray required me to think a bit but the rest was dead simple. I really like the color, I find that it looks even better in real life than on the photo. Lastly, it shipped and arrived super fast even though it ships from the US (for free!) and I'm in Canada, so that was a great surprise!

While I'm not a very computer friendly type person. I found both the wireless keyboard and the mouse extremely easier to get up and running. So much so that it seemed too easy. I thought I would have to load a program or do some type of initial programming first. But its just put in the batteries, put the USB plug into my new laptop and its all done. EXTREMELY EASY.

This Zagg keyboard has cut out for power button which is very nice! (Improved over a previous Zagg for a different keyboard. I did have to figure out about the keyboard going to sleep and to FIRMLY put ipad in slot to wake it up

I would like to start by saying that the thank you card inside the box was a very nice touch. Bravo. All that I wanted was a keyboard where the keys themselves light up. -not the back of the keys-. The reason I wanted this is because my apartment is very poorly lit. I initially contacted best buy. I did my best to explain to them what I was looking for. It is possible that I did not explain my specifications correctly. They might of gotten stuck on my statement that I did not want one of those rainbow light up keyboards, which seem to be trending right now. During that call, I did not initially consider things like how blue LED lights can impact sleep patterns (lots of science on that. look it up). But this keyboard lets you switch back and forth between blue and red (red helps with sleep). And also purple (which is just fun!) The letters are also large. I am young but I do not have the best vision. Like I said, this keyboard is exactly what I wanted.

This is a great keyboard for general purpose usage, and image editing. The keys are large and easily visible, they also feel good to push, not sponge-y but not loud and click-y either. I didn't think I'd enjoy the LED backlight for the keys, but I actually have grown to LOVE it; it's a big help when in low light areas. Only thing that could be improved upon, while it does have shortcut keys for volume, media, and some web browsing, there isn't a Sleep shortcut key (unless you re-map it). A small gripe, but I find Sleep to be more useful than web shortcuts.

This is the perfect solution for keeping your computer from going to sleep or kicking on the screensaver due to inactivity. No drivers needed and no trace of its use at all. Just a handy dandy gadget.

I love these hard drives, I have a 12T and 18T. They work really well with my new MacBook Pro. At first, when the computer would go to sleep, they would sometimes dismount and then when the computer would wake up they would remount, but I'd see that message that they were not dismounted properly. Tech support recommended two changes in the system preferences, and now they work well. (The settings they recommended were under Battery, then Power Adapter, Uncheck "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display is off and Uncheck Put hard drives to sleep when possible.) The drives are fast and smooth. I love the cables they come with, and I love the blue case. I used to buy G-Drives because I thought they were the best. These are a great replacement. I was impressed with the recommendation of Mike Bomich of Carbon Copy Cloner. Theses hard drives really are the best kept secret, as another reviewer wrote.

The wired trackball did not wake up after the computer went to sleep and I had to unplug it from the USB hub. It was driving me insane. I searched and found many messages about the problem but no solutions that worked for me! I talked to the Kensington phone help service and they could not help. Finally I found out by trial and error that turning off (unchecking) the When the display is sleeping and When the screen is locked in System preferences: Notifications: Do Not Disturb solves the problem. I am running the MACOS 11.4 and the latest Kensington software.

I use this cap when I put my lens to sleep. If I forget the cap is on the lens when I take photographs I end up with consistantly dark photos. If I leave the cap off and forget to put it in my bag I will be back on this site for another cap very soon.

I have listened to music as I go to sleep all my life. For that I don't need a fancy hi-def player with tons of features. This is a simple player that I plug some soft sleep ear buds into, set for 30 minutes and lay my head down. (Great for travel too) The 8GB holds all my regular music and I put anything else I may want from time to time on a micro USB an put it in the slot. I have used these for years. The last one bit the dust when it went through the washer and dryer. It still worked but the volume rocker was spotty. I use Media Monkey, which recognizes the player, to load up my playlists and music. A good, solid product with good enough sound quality for these old ears and my use.
