Put Computer To Sleep With Keyboard Mac

The Apple Wireless Keyboard is a convenient way of saving the use my keyboard on my Mac Book pro. I also love the grey steel color because it matches my computer. It truly makes a fashion statement. I bought the keyboard to save the use of my computer keyboard. 5 |

I received this fine keyboard and mouse and find both superb, especially given the ridiculously great price from B&H. Who ever heard of any good computer product for this price? But the problem for Mac users is that there are no usable function keys for all the special Mac functions: EXPOSE and others. After receiving this two days ago, I began using it heavily in my work as a visual artist. The keyboard performs great and so does the mouse. But when I realized I had no special function keys, I immediately called Kensington to see if there were some work-around ways to get those special Mac features. There are not, and the Kensington rep specifically told me they have no keyboards that will provide such Mac features. Instead of trying to return this to B&H, I decided to keep the set because I need a new wired mouse anyway. And a back-up keyboard is always a good idea if you use your computer for work. By the way, I ought to mention that I wanted wired everything because my beloved wife has electromagnetic hypersensitivity, and all wireless devices producing RF are grim for her. I have a special plastic covering the front of my iMac that reduces RF emissions to an extremely low level. So now the whole set-up is safe for her to be near, even though she cannot USE the computer herself. I have now ordered another keyboard from B&H (MAFK318B) that specifically states it supports all Mac function keys. I gave a five-star rating because of the quality of the set. I don't want its reputation downgraded just because it did not work in every way on my computer. 5 |

I put this hardrive into my 2014 Mac mini and it’s like I got a new computer! Complete game changer, no more spinning beach balls! 5 |

I have a mac mini which runs hot enough toast a sandwich. An SSD drive didn't really help it run cooler. So I left the fan uninstalled with the bottom of the computer open, and put the computer on the thermal take cooler. Now it is cool to the touch all the time even when the room is in the 90's. From having a slow mostly useless computer which I was looking to replace, I now have a fast machine that runs cool, using most of the Adobe Suite, spreadsheets and browser, often simultaneously. The cooler is quiet, has enough room to put an external drive on it alongside the computer. 5 |

I got this workstation to be able to have both my computer keyboard and my synth in front of me when producing, and it does a fantastic job at that. I don't even use the keyboard tray for the keyboard as I find it a bit too low for me so I just use it as extra storage, but the fact there's an upper platform for the screen and such gives me SO MUCH ROOM that I can put both the synth and the computer keyboard in front of me on the main surface. The upper platform is pretty big as well, I can easily fit my 23 screen as well as 2 studio monitors. I was worried it would be a bit cramped there but it's not! And it's pretty deep as well so I still have plenty of room on the top platform to put random stuff there if I need to. I like that there is two possible positions for the upper platform (closer or further back). I put it closer to me because I'm in a pretty small space, but if you have the room, you can put it further back so it opens up a bit more the main surface. It was pretty straightforward to build, only the keyboard tray required me to think a bit but the rest was dead simple. I really like the color, I find that it looks even better in real life than on the photo. Lastly, it shipped and arrived super fast even though it ships from the US (for free!) and I'm in Canada, so that was a great surprise! 5 |

While I'm not a very computer friendly type person. I found both the wireless keyboard and the mouse extremely easier to get up and running. So much so that it seemed too easy. I thought I would have to load a program or do some type of initial programming first. But its just put in the batteries, put the USB plug into my new laptop and its all done. EXTREMELY EASY. 5 |

Back up mac computer 5 |
Bagmanray | 2024-09-23 09:18:32 |
I use this to backup my photos and company data. 4TB actually only 3TB storage, because its RAID 5. it start up very fast, as soon as my Mac boot up from sleep, its ready. I tested with Black magic disk speed test, both read and write about 500 MB/s, same test on my I-Mac 5K 1TB internal SSD, both read and write about 700MB/s. This drive is 4 times faster than USB 3 and up to 70% speed of my SSD with RAID 5 protection. The drive connect with my Mac through Thunder port 2 then chain to my second monitor. Just a very little noise from the back of the fan, its running as long as my Mac is on. Off when my Mac is sleep. Software is very easy to install, but it takes time to format all the drive to make it ready for RAID 5, about 10 hours. Great product !! 5 |

This is a nicely made surge protector, relatively compact with a few widely-spaced outlets for power bricks. I tucked this under my sit-stand desk to keep the power cables out of the way. The power-saving outlets that shut off when the main computer goes to sleep are nice but problematic for a Mac with external drives. If an external drive is powered off while the Mac sleeps, the Mac jolts awake and cycles awake-sleep constantly. Luckily those power-saving outlets can be flipped to manual mode. 5 |

I am replacing an OWC Thunderbolt hub with this one and it's a massive upgrade. Worked almost flawlessly out of the box. The only minor issue is that, if you let you Mac sleep, it will disconnect my external display and the only way to bring it back is by unplugging and re-plugging the hub. I solved it by now allowing the Mac to sleep. Other than that, I love this thing. 5 |
