This thing is awesome! Does everything I need it to do. One thing to be aware of - it DOES come with a power supply, even though it's not listed in the What's In The Box list.

I didn't know what these were for when I bought it, I just bought what was on my class supply list. I think it was a little pricy, but it works great and I do like having different colored sides.

I use these for schools to connect their computers to their audio systems.

This PV USB DI was recommended by a fellow Audio Engineer. It works great to connect a laptop to XLR feeds, either in Stereo or Summed to Mono. Sonically, much clearer than the ubiquitous LTIBLOX.

Jan 24, 2016 Review of: Magnus PV-7451M Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head I purchased the Magnus tripod for use with my Canon Rebel XT DSLR. I'm taking a digital photography class at Umpqua Community College here in Oregon, and since I was going to be taking a lot of different kind of photographs to meet the syllabus of this course I needed a good tripod. My other tripod was in use with one set of 25 x 100 Celeste on astronomical binoculars, and between these two issues was a good excuse for a new tripod. I had had good experience with B&H photo before, went online to see what they carried in the way of tripods. Wow, quite a collection of tripods. So I narrowed down the criteria for my choice and went with the Magnus PV 7451M. The reviews that were online were very favorable and the fact that the center portion of the tripod was removable for use as a monopod was a real plus. The quick release mechanism for attaching my camera has turned out to be a tremendous advantage. I bought my Canon Rebel XT in 2008 and had used its 18-55 lens for general photography. The primary reason I bought the camera was it was a good quality DSLR, and with a few accessories could be used with my telescopes for digital astrophotography. (I have a 5 inch Maksutov-Cassegrain on an Alt-Az mount and an 8 inch Schmidt- Cassegrain on a German equatorial mount.) So most of my use of the camera has been astronomical in nature, that is until I started taking my digital photography class. So in summary, the tripod has allowed me the flexibility I need to meet the class requirements and to learn some new tricks in terrestrial photography. Thus, even as a novice user I find the tripod meets all of my requirements and works as advertised

clamps onto the most common camera rail systems - 15mm, pv, 19mm to make a great mounting point for many accessories.

Tons of features including charging from multiple sources, e.g. 120VAC, DC (PV or 12V car Adapter); multi function display; plenty of AC receptacles. The unit packs a punch in a relatively light package. Well work the price.

Pros: I have found in the Magnus PV-7451M Tripod/Monopod a great balance between price and quality, not too expensive nor too light but sturdy enough. With the instant savings I got two of them for less than one hundred bucks, plus I got also a couple of Magnus PV-74 quick release mounts for less than ten bucks each, so I may have them installed in other cameras and have even more flexibility. With two tripods and two quick release mounts, I can move easier. Cons: Joint between quick release mount tilts a little bit with my Sony a850+70-210mm lens, this not happen with my a6000+55-210, of course, the former is quite heavy, the later very light. I consider that this ia good purchase even at regular price. Grab a couple of quick release mounts, you wont regret it.
