Upgrading from A7R ii to A7R iv has been a delight. See the camera's remarkable reviews for the details. One landscape photographer's personal highlights: Focusing - perfect flower close ups. Usability - quite a noticeable improvement, especially when shooting in the field. Cropping - 61 MP = *great* workflow. Color - rendering on MBP/LG Ultrafine display is an inspiration. The much reported downsides: menus & touch screen. Attached *snapshot*, taken Sony's FE4/24-105 G lens, highlights focus, color, bokeh. 5 |

See our house temp anywhere and change it whenever we want/need. Also, the ability to build out a security system utilizing Alexa is great. 5 |

I replaced my old Q-See security system with this. It works very well right out of the box. The color night vision is great, resolution is great, and the integrated microphone picks up audio very well. 5 |

...this does the job; i.e. filters UV and protects the lens. See other Artichoke reviews of Sony A7RC and Sony G 20-70mm zoom 5 |

Bought the small and big packing cube during black fri sales. See a lot of reviews on how much you can pack inside the packing cube despite the size but I wasn't expecting too much. Turns out, as what all others have mentioned, the packing cube really can compress down a LOT of clothing. Do yourself and luggage a favor and just get one for yourself 5 |

See also: my review of the Sony A7CR. I just acquired this lens to use with the new Sony A7CR--to capitalize on its 60mp sensor via crop-zooming--and use this lens in place of the Sony/Zeiss 16-35mm and Sony G 24-105--which it does spectacularly well. This is a 17 ounce replacement for the combined weight of 44 ounces for the other two. Pretty good swap. The various high-praise reviews of this lens are accurate. It is sharp across the field including the corners--better in all respects than the 24-105, which is actually a very good lens. But this is better. Several other reviews report circular distortions and vignetting. The A7CR has Lens Distortion Compensation (buried somewhere in the menu) and it comes with the default set to Auto--meaning ON--and that seems to take care of virtually all the distortion. Maybe a small amount of barrel adjustment required at 20mm. I haven't used it enough yet to determine. I haven't been this excited and pleased about a camera or lens since the Sony NEX-7 in 2011...and then, a little later, the Sony A7Rii. Just a great, great lens!!! 5 |
