The CoPilot does not have all the functions of the Pilot, but it has the essentials. I find it best used on a hand-held camera with multiple Trios on stands, in TTL mode. If, however, one needs to use the Quantum QLink units with Canon Speedlites, one still needs the Pilot to get the full function of the QLink-FreeXWire combination. The CoPilot will only trigger Canon units or other units, using the FreeXWire. So I see the CoPilot as a great addition rather than a replacement for Pilot. The CoPilot will control a lights in three groups. It sets up quickly and flawlessly. 5 |
