Purchased it to tweak it for use on a low-power database server. Highly customizable, and I can easily get it down to sipping electricity.

I needed a new computer that would run a local AI, chat service, server, database, etc. And to do 3D modeling, sculpting, editing, slicing for printing, This computer rocks both! Not one hiccup. If you need something for these power situations look no further.

I am completely delighted with this NAS. The USB ports and two ESATA ports make it easy to add several external hard drives. Included with the purchase are licenses for a PC backup program that could replace a backup program that you purchase for your PCs. This software seems to work well, although I must admit I have not yet needed to restore any backups made using this software. The MariaDB database server can be added via Synology's app library, so you can have a decent database server without having to hire a DBA! Disks can be added and replaced without taking the offline or rebooting it. Synology offers a program to synchronize files between the NAS and your PCs, essentially doing the same thing as DropBox or MS OneDrive, but without the cost. Overall, this is an outstanding unit. I am confident this unit would perform well in a production business environment, and because it's so easy to set up, you save $$ on hiring a server administrator!

The features are almost mind-boggling. Performs two-sided scanning if needed, and the scan speed is the fastest I've ever encountered. Scan quality is excellent, even for color. The user-friendly software allows me to review each document or receipt before saving or exporting, so if I need to make adjustments I know right away. I use Quickbooks desktop version for accounting and had no trouble at all identifying fields and info I wanted to save and export. Should work equally well for Quickbooks online version. Being able to export as a "searchable PDF" is a big plus. It can also save documents as Word file or Excel spreadsheet data or even Powerpoint (Windows version). It even scans business cards. That's versatility not found in run-of-the-mill scanners. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny if it saves time and frustration over manual recordkeeping and document retention. Setup was a breeze right out of the box and it has a very small footprint. It can be used either wired or wireless, with the ability to send scans to email or a smartphone. This thing does it all. I'm definitely impressed and will be recommending it to friends and family. My nephew is a farmer and my neighbor is a truck driver, and both professions require extensive recordkeeping. I'm sure that once they've tried this scanner the benefits will be obvious, especially to their wives who do all the accounting! This proven to be true. A great bag! The Tenba Lens wrap and re-enforced dividers are an awesome addition to this setup, as well as the lens padded holders. But, the unique doctor style zipper access on the top is this bag's key component. I recommended it.

I had one of these hard drives and liked it so much, I bought another one. Use it mainly to back up my pictures and inventory database. No problems and easy to use. Like not having to use a power supply.

I put a good size DaVinci Resolve project with its database on one of these and you can edit and render just as fast as the internal MacBook Pro drive. And you can easily hand the project to someone else to work on some part on their Mac. Sweeeet!
