I was looking at this one and the Portabrace option online, and after asking a few questions via Live Chat I chose the Strut case. It is very well made, and easy to use with total flexibility for accessing the battery packs. Frankly, I'm still trying to figure out how I will use some of the pouches (pictures would be nice) but I can't think of any improvements I would ask for and I expect this to last a long time. I chatted with the pros at B&H via online chat because I wanted a scanner for multiple uses. I needed a scanner to scan old documents so I could unload my many file cabinets, and also needed one to scan 35MM negatives & slides. The quality is great. The size is the normal size you can expect from a scanner that does such things. The slide/negative is a bit clumsy for me, but they are usually like that. Other than that, very easy set up.
