I purchased AppleCare for my previous iMac and it came in handy several times. The telephone support is outstanding. About two years after I purchased AppleCare, my DVD/CD drive stopped working. A technician actually came to my house and replaced the drive under the AppleCare Protection Plan. That one use more than paid for the cost of the product. AppleCare is without doubt a must have for any Mac under 1 year old. It extends the warranty from 1 to 3 years, has 3 years of telephone support and can easily pay for itself if one repair is needed. At the very least it provides peace of mind. Buying AppleCare from B&H is smart too, why pay Apple's prices when B&H offers the same thing at a discount? 5 |
