The telephone support is invaluable. Not only do they help with hardware/software issues, they also help with connect problems and will walk you through a wireless setup if need be.

AppleCare is without doubt a must have for any Mac under 1 year old. It extends the warranty from 1 to 3 years, has 3 years of telephone support and can easily pay for itself if one repair is needed. At the very least it provides peace of mind. Buying AppleCare from B&H is smart too, why pay Apple's prices when B&H offers the same thing at a discount?
