Quicktime Screen Recording Specific Window

Before I was plugging in the iPad and using quicktime to capture the iPad screen. This took way more processing power than I wanted. The Magewell along with the HDMI / Lightning dongle worked perfect and showed as a video source option for streaming. I just love how I just plug it into a Mac and it just works without the need of any drivers. It included a usb cable. You have to provide your own HDMI cable.

I got this for a specific recording project and could not be happier with the results. Keep in mind the microphone is quite sensitive so things like script shuffling will pick up on it. Since it's unclear, there is no accessory pack. It comes with the pictured stand and a USB cable.

Use when recording a speech from one specific person in a noisy background e.g. rebbes tisch. It filters out the noise, say goodbye to static... and gets the job done.

For recording I tend to look for single-pattern mics that serve a specific purpose. The 240 pro records acoustic guitar very well and, perhaps due to its slightly smaller diaphragm, the guitar seems to occupy its own place in the mix without me having to screw around with the eq. Its a good solid microphone at a good price and it has its own sound which I like a lot.

I bought this specific kit as a gift, but have used other versions of these products before at length (which is why I bought them as a gift!) The mic is wonderful for recording spoken word - not as sure about recording music yet, although I haven't heard otherwise from the recipient. You can fiddle with the settings, but overall, I don't think any other usb mics have come close in sounding quite so warm and clear (to me - personal preference). In terms of build quality - the mic is rock solid EXCEPT for the usb port in the bottom to connect to your computer - if you are not very careful and gentle when pulling out the cord, over time it will come loose and stop working - or at least mine did. Blue Customer Service many years ago sent me a replacement when that happened, but since they are owned by Logitech now, I am not sure that they would be so gracious (based on my experience with them...). The replacement unit I got didn't have the same issue, so it might have just been a dud. Additionally, although the base is very well made and very stylish (haha), it picks up your computer humming if placed on the same desk. Might be better to get an arm to mount it on instead, which is what I ended up doing. The headphones are comfortable and sound great. I am not an audiophile so I'm afraid I can't comment much else about it otherwise. :)

The signal quality out of the T-Tap pro is outstanding -- nice to not worry about Quicktime playback gamma issues anymore. And Aja tech support is second to none. Just like a pro device should be. One thing to note is that playback through the T-Tap pro must be via compatible software e.g, Adobe Premier, or by using the Aja Control Room player software. This is not like having a another monitor on your Mac -- you can not stream videos from Safari through it or simply use the Quicktime player app with it.

If you're looking for a battery that will last forever this is almost it. You can get almost 6 hours of continous use out of this battery while recording and with the LCD screen on.

I've had this unit for a few months now and I am very happy with the unit overall. The device captures various screen sizes and is perfect for capturing VGA and DVI sources from older computers that do not support the installation of a modern screen recording software. Perfect for creating video tutorials using older computer hardware. There was one issue many users have encountered when using the StreamCatcher software, and that being unable to move the GUI window from one monitor to another when using multiple monitors on a PC. This is actually possible to do, however it requires you to double click on the capture window to cycle through (x3) different GUI window sizes; Full Screen, Normal and Small. You can only move the StreamCatcher GUI window across to other Monitors when the GUI is in the SMALL window size. So you simply have to double click on the GUI capture window when you see your video feed, double click a couple of times...and you can toggle to the proper screen size and then move it across to your other shared PC monitors. :) Hope this information helps future users out there. A Great product! :)D Cheers! -Gerry

I shoot travel photos, quickly catching interactions between people or views that disappear as I run to catch up with others or shoot out a bus window. This camera is absolute perfection for that. Using a hand strap, I am able -- with one hand -- to view the shot on the screen, zoom to frame it, and hit the shutter button. I can wave the camera over my head or hold it down low or stretch out to the side, and still get a great shot fast. I was worried about motion blur, but looking at my recent shots for the first time, they are terrific! and this camera seems to shoot in the dark. I usually shoot in auto, occasionally do a pano, and have Scene set to close-ups for food. Having used a 24 - 105 L lens on my Canon 6D, I'm finding this 600mm a real joy. I can't say enough good things about this camera. Is every shot crystal clear? No, but most are and the sharpness is amazing. The silence feature is nice because I take so many shots the clicking is otherwise annoying to others. Drawbacks: I have to change the manner of focus to suit the occasion; often the camera focuses on the closest thing (i.e., raindrops on a window) and can't get past it. The screen is hard to see in bright light. Capturing facial expressions indoors is not as instant as with my Canon; the camera seems to struggle with focus in this and a few other indoor situations (but I haven't tried to optimize for this yet). I go through nearly 2 batteries a day instead of 3/4 battery with my Canon. I make books of my travel photos and have had some exhibited -- I expect that this new work will best what I have done in the past. If you shoot the way I shoot, buy this camera!
