Bought this to replace Netgear R7000 that overheated last summer- all my equipment is in my unheated/uncooled garage. I picked this router for its temperature rating to 122F, otherwise I could have gotten ER-X. My plan from Spectrum is 200/20, I just tested the speed wirelessly, using older Samsung tablet and got between 140-170 Mbps, using 3 different test sites. My wireless is done by 2 Unifi APs. Wired speed was over 200 Mbps. Even though the manufacturer's instructions for setting this router up are not clear (for me, anyway), there are a few videos on YouTube. I am not an IT person but I had it up and running in about 15-20 min. 5 |

Replaced my NetGear R7000 with the Synology router. Already have the Synology NAS. Its a much easer interface and more powerful than the old R7000. I plan to buy the Synology MR2200AC as well. That will fill in the missing wifi spots with heir mesh network. 5 |
