Radios That Fit My Car

I read many reviews. I was aware range is an issue. I have been operating the radios in the FRS mode. Obstacles like walls and buildings absolutely reduce range. When I am using the radios at distances to a mile with few obstructions the sound is clear. So far I have not exceeded a mile. My range in a car talking to my wife in a house is reduced to 1/2 a mile at best which is not bad (IMO). Knowing this should help you understand that the range numbers are all inflated and you shouldn't expect results close to the stated maximums. I bought the radios because my wife and I are moving to a remote area with very limited cell service. I intend to stick to FRS unless I require the extra power of GMRS. The $70 license fee for 10 years does not bother me. The radios are a great value, home charger, car charger, ear phones for much quieter operation, and the options for customizing sounds, vibration and privacy are vast. Both Midland and B&H were quick to respond to my few questions. Again, no complaints.

Great product! I’m using it almost daily. Thank you also for replacing the car charger quickly which was DOA. I now own six (6) of your radios. Good performance & value too.

Great bundle! The radios have longer range than advertised and the charger keeps the radios well organized. My security company has stepped up the service we provide with the use of these radios.

My son and I have been using these for about a month now and they are great radios. In our area we are able to communicate clearly in about a 3 mile radius due to the number of trees. They will be perfect for keeping in touch when we are hunting since cell service is limited where we hunt. The features on the radios are easy to use and they seem to be pretty durable. The one thing I wish these radios had are lithium ion batteries. I just purchased an MXT275 to mount in my truck and I'm looking forward to using it.

I recently purchased a set of Midland GXT 1000VP4 2 way radios. My girlfriend and I plan on using them while camping. We aren't always together. Me out looking for gold and her doing it is what she does when I'm not around. I have a piece of mind knowing she has a radio and her sidearm for safety reasons. We recently went up in the desert to check reception. It was great. When I go to my house we check reception. I live about 7 miles from her and can hear with good clarity. I can recommend these products.

I bought a set of these radios 3 or 4 years ago. My hunting partner and I were so impressed with their range and clarity that he purchased another set and now we outfit our entire hunting party. They have been extremely effective in the mountains of Vermont and have saved us numerous trips when something caused us to need to contact other hunting party members.

My Midland hand-held radios are performing well. I use them with my MXT-275 and I get approximately 2 mile range in the city. I like the weather feature.

I am very pleased with these radios. My partner and I are avid hikers, but we hike at very different speeds. Since we have gotten these radios, we have been able to start out at different times and check in with each other until we get to the designated meeting spots. It has been a great game changer! I have used these both in "line of sight" as it mentions on the website and in wooded and rocky terrain without line of sight. They worked great. Even in the rocky terrain, when we were pretty far from each other, we were able to connect. They are lightweight and hook well onto straps and pant pockets. They have been holding a charge really well. I like that there are 22 channels to choose from, as other hikers use radios too. :) Would definitely recommend.

We’ve loved all of our Midland radios so it was no surprise that we love this one as well! My favorite features are the fact that it’s dust proof and water resistant! Things get dusty and dirty on the farm so it’ll be easier to keep this clean! I also love that you can charge devices for those long days where you need to charge up your phone!
