I have only used this lens once, shooting about 50 pictures on my M9. I would rate this lens as tied for the sharpest of my Leica lenses (a position jointly held by my 28mm and 75mm Summicrons).Physically, this lens is very solid, not too heavy (particularly when compared to the Noctilux) but you'll know you're using a fine camera lens. Focus is very smooth with no resistance yet no wander or creep in the focus if it were too loose. Typical Leica.Image-wise, the detail that this lens captures when using my M9 is beyond words. I took a photo of an old brick brewery building in downtown Albuquerque from about 200 feet away. When I looked at the photo at 100% in Photoshop CS6 (after converting from RAW to psd in Photoshop Camera RAW) I could make out the heads of bolts on a metal bracket attached to the building. Amazing!Shooting into the sun produced no flare and almost no detectable CA (purple fringe). On a negative note, I purchased this lens in late-July. It arrived DOA. The lens hood, which is built-in to this lens, was broken. It would pull out as it's supposed to but it did not stop pulling out. I complained to Leica that this should have been caught in QC (after all, each Leica lens comes with a certificate signed by the final inspector). Normally Leica makes one send in a lens for warranty repair on the owners dime but my complaining resulted in Leica picking up the tab for round trip shipping (good Leica!).So, two plus months after buying this lens, I've finally gotten to use it and I have to say, it was worth the wait.If you are using a Leica M camera and can afford to use Leica glass, then I would very highly recommend this lens. You won't be disappointed. 5 |

Awesome material for building DIY Diffusers. I love how flexible and how durable this material is. It's super easy to clean to if you happen to splash or spill on it. The only bad thing is that one end of my roll came a bit damaged. B&H took care of this for me very easily and very promptly. 5 |

I love this thing. I tried building a few teleprompters myself with mixed success and finally broke down and bought this one. The frame seemed weird when I first got it, but after using it a while I appreciate the design. It is large enough to hangs lots of stuff on it (like a video channel switcher, sound recorder, microphone, etc.), but it's not huge. Somehow, it is very well balanced on a tripod, despite its size. I use a 7 monitor (Marshall M-CT7) as the display and it fits nicely. I could use a larger monitor, but this is what I had. The text is large enough to read from 8 feet away. One issue I have is the blackout bag is made of a stiff material and it's hard to get it to fit snugly around the camera lens. And when it is fit tightly, it seems to pull the other material close enough to the lens that it gets picked up by the camera. Not a huge deal, because you can just move it out of the way. A flimsier material might work better (can't believe I just said that). Overall, I'm really happy with it. It is SOOOO much better talking straight to the camera than having your eyes looking off to the side. 5 |
