The best most rugged red dot sight for it's price range. The only thing I can knock this red dot for is that it's Made in China not Made in the U.S.A. witch you figure Bushnell would make there products. 5 |

I really like it. It says made in China but it feels made somewhere else. There are a couple of plastics like the strap that feels Made in China. Other than that, but yourself a head for it and you should be set. It isn't heavy but it isn't light. It is strong but practical. A sweet middle. 5 |

Very well built. Made in Holland and not China for a change lol. Slightly on the heavy side but very solid. I rather carry 1-2 lb extra but know I have a rock-solid tripod & head. The knobs are solid too. The fine adjustment knobs are not as consistently smooth when you rotate them. In some areas, it gets slightly harder than easier to twist. VERY slightly though. I'm just being very picky here. I used RRS BH-55 for many years and one of the reasons I moved away from a ball-head is because of the tone-tuning abilities when it comes to composing for landscapes. I would recommend this product even though I got it just now and need to test it in the field. thank you 5 |

Made in China, but overall quality is impressive. The package contains even strap. LCD screen is sufficient for framing, but not for manual focusing. 5 |

I like Vortex, so I was curious if shifting production from Japan to China would result in a worse quality of a "new" product. First of all, I have to say that the Japanese have built a brand new factory in China, and the leading staff are Japanese. Nor was there any change in the output quality control. To compare the "Made in Japan" and "Made in China" versions, I had to borrow the Japanese version from my colleague. The size and weight remained roughly the same, the new version may still be slightly smaller. But what is most important? In my opinion, brightness, purity and sharpness are at the same level, but the field of view is broader at first glance at the new version. I did not see anything better in the 8x42 binoculars category (even in a higher price category). Definitely recommend this Vortex binocular regardless of the fact that it was made in China. The fantastic lifetime warranty has stayed and, in addition, you will get great GlassPak as a bonus. 5 |
