Truly amazing pads. These are even more comfortable than the famous Razer Orca/Carcharias/Megaladon earpads. The only small downside is that they're a real pain to get onto the speakers---you really gotta line them up exactly right, then stretch out the end that's not yet attached pretty hard. They do go on though, don't worry--your pair is not defective! Once they're on, you'll wonder how you ever got along without them. 5 |

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Purchased to replace a defective Razer keyboard. I have been very impressed with the responsiveness and feel of the keys. This keyboard is great for playing games and also pleasant to type on and not as loud as a mechanical board. It also has a pretty impressive heft to it, so it does not slide around one's desk. 5 |

installed these into a razer pro 17 because Razer only gives you 16gb. So i went with OWC and its working great. 5 |

I use my Novation Impulse for making basic beats in Ableton Live and Garageband. I don't have a great frame of reference, but can say that this keyboard has done everything I've expected of it and more. I'm particularly pleased with the drum pads that come with Roll and Arp settings which have allowed me to make some pretty unique rhythmic patterns I otherwise would be lost making. Finally, this keyboard is very handsome. Backlit buttons and drum pads along with a sleek design allow my modest little operation to look nearly legit. Surely not a reason to buy a keyboard, but a bonus nonetheless. 5 |

This keyboard is awesome for the price and portability. I can put it in my backpack and take it anywhere. The Drum pads are an awesome add on that most keyboards dont have at this price range. I highly recommend this product if you are a beginner or intermidiate user. This mini keyboard pays off big. 5 |

I have it on the lowest setting and it's very stable, I think it could hold a lot more than it's 5-lb. weight rating. Maybe at higher settings it would be more unstable. Decent build quality, the rubber pads are applied a little off-center but nothing major. I was surprised that the bottom of the feet also have rubber pads, I didn't expect that. I use this to support my laptop over my M-Audio Hammer 88 keyboard controller. One thing to keep in mind if you're going to put anything on top of the feet (like my keyboard), look close and you'll see the feet have a tapered outer lip. At the near end, their thinnest point, they are approximately 1/8" thick; at the back end, they gradually taper up to approximately 1" thick. I put some 3/4" thick rubber feet on my keyboard so that the stand's feet have enough clearance to slide under it. 5 |

Just right. Keyboard, buttons and pads are responsive and good quality. Software downloads were confusing if you're new to Akai. Samples and sequencing are great and easy to learn. Very good desktop product. 5 |

This thing is really sturdy and has very good keyboard feel. There are better-feeling keyoards but nowhere near this price range. The pads are surprisingly good as well. Connectivity is above expectations especially when paired to Analog Lab or the included presets. 5 |
