I bought this mainly because it is a single backplate, rather than the cheap ones that have you put braces between two separate back plates to create a longer one. I heard stories of those breaking or not being level, and it's just a flimsy design. This thing is solid though, and the install was really quite easy. 5 |

I'm using this to attach to my backplate on my Larson hotshoe flash/softbox to mount my profoto B2 OCF head. I screw it in to a bottom screw and it helps me so I don't have to order a specific backplate by profoto. The weight is on the bottom instead of around the head so the bulk of the softbox weight is on the bracket not the head. 5 |
