Razer Synapse Mac Keyboard Commands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Razer - BlackShark V2 Se for awhile my kids have come quite accustom to this headset.. Pros: -Love the color of the headset, the black pairs quite well with the green, the sound (both playback and record [headset and mic]) are quite good. - THX Spatial Audio also works quite well once you can seem to get it working with the headset. It has better Discord compatibility than with any other HyperX headset. I love that it is quite light feeling when it is sitting on your head and is actually very comfortable. The headset is also fairly affordable and well worth it, as it is quite the bang for the buck. As for the Cons: - Synapse software doesn't seem to be the greatest and could use quite a few improvements with headsets. Synapse makes getting the headset working, if at all at moments very very finicky. Sometimes the headset when plugged in seems to work off of the Razer Sound Card audio source in Windows. Other times the headset will work off of the THX Spatial Audio audio source. Due to the Synapse, you never know which one it is going to be until you plug it in. Another problem I noticed is the Microphone doesn't always seem to work when you are speaking into it, especially if you have it plugged into a gaming source such as a Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Ps4, etc. My Final thoughts on this headset are as follow: Those that are quite tech savvy should be find since they should be able to get Razer's Synapse's to play nicely with them long enough to keep this headset working consistently. Therefore, those who work quite well with tech this most definitely would be an amazing buy. As for anyone who is not technologically inclined or at least educated in tech I would not recommend this headset,, as the Synapse could quite possibly give you a major headache as well as a lot of uneccesary frustration. 5 |

Works perfectly on a MacBook and Mac Mini as an eGPU. Using a Razer Core X enclosure. It barely fits though. 5 |

I am using this in a razer core x eGPU case with a Mac pro. I haven't seen a performance yet. but a good graphic card. 5 |

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Purchased to replace a defective Razer keyboard. I have been very impressed with the responsiveness and feel of the keys. This keyboard is great for playing games and also pleasant to type on and not as loud as a mechanical board. It also has a pretty impressive heft to it, so it does not slide around one's desk. 5 |

We use several USB KVM's and this one is great for two reasons: 1. it comes complete with a full set of cables, and 2. it has keyboard commands that allow switching capability from the keyboard if the KVM itself is not located conveniently in the rack. - I have ordered more of these. This is a good keyboard and mouse combo for the price. I like a simple keyboard without too many extra buttons to get in my way when using key commands and this one is great. It has quiet action, but is solid enough to know when you have pressed the key. It is exactly what I wanted. The mouse is a little small for my tastes, but it works well. I am getting used to it and it does not bother me, anymore. However, if you have large hands or want a mouse with more substance, you might want to consider another option. Setup and installation on Windows 10 was painless. 5 |

Time is everything. If you are not using keyboard shortcuts in Davinci Resolve, you are doing it wrong and burning time uselessly. This keyboard popped up on my B&H radar just as I began making painfully intricate color-coded reference notecards for the shortcuts in DR. This keyboard is WAAAAY better--the color coding is clear and obvious, and the backlighting, shows the commands on the individual keys clearly. It is also comprehensive, showing commands I haven't even discovered yet. One day, I won't need these clues, but I'm not there yet. Also, when I go a week without editing, I forget things. It is very easy to use and over a couple of weeks my editing speed increased dramatically--WOW! Really. Even glancing over at a notecard is distracting and can easily derail my workflow (is this just me?) The first time I opened Davinci Resolve, I was struck by how intricate and tiny the UI toolbar controls were, and really struggled with a bad mouse and a tiny monitor. Shortcuts are more precise too--they eliminate any analog, floating movement from a touchy mouse I was unsure about the scissor construction of the keys at first, as I usually like the strong feedback of a mechanical gaming keyboard. Conclusion: The key action is fine (and it's quieter). There is a soft tactile pivot point where you confirm input by touch. There are two USB plugs: one for the keyboard itself and one to power the built-in USB ports (2). Laptop owners may consider a USB hub or Thunderbolt Dock 5 |
