...connecting from the RCA outs on my interface to the XLR ins on my powered monitors - everything working as expected, wavy gravy a-ok!

I bought two fto conect Dynaudio powered monitors (XLR inputs) to a RCA output preamp. SQ is excellent; there's no hum, and the pin-out was correct! I bought other RCA-to-XLR cables from a big online company & had to tearrange/resolder the pins to get signal.

Better than I expected. A couple of reviewers mentioned a constant hiss. I cannot hear any hiss. I'm using a pair of these monitors with my iMac to digitize vinyl. I use a Korg DAC, DSD capable, and a passive volume controller. The Korg has RCA outputs. I heard noises when using an RCA to 1/8 cable from the Korg to the volume controller. Then I changed to an RCA to XLR cable and the noise is gone. I use XLR cables from the volume controller to the monitors.

Seems to be a good value. I use it for my project studio monitors.

B&H has been my go to place for a lot of thing lately and with the rework of my studio I needed some really long RCA tipped cables. These were built to last and still remain flexible. Got to tell you, I'm happy with my buy

I needed a solution for removing ground loop noise in my studio. I needed to connect my Yamaha 01v mixer to my PC using the onboard line jack (-10db). When I plugged the mixer into the computer using the RCA outs from the board it caused a terrible ground loop and noise from the mains was sitting around -35db. When I added the Rolls HE18, the noise floor now sits at about -67db. A 32db reduction in noise and very tolerable for both demo recordings and online audio streaming. It also does unbalanced to balanced audio conversion, has 1/8, 1/4 and RCA jacks (1/8 is input only). Heavy duty build and feel. The passive electronic design saves the headache of having to accommodate yet another wall adapter. If you have a ground loop in your project studio. Buy this box. It works.

I already was using some of these for monitors in my studio, but I find them really useful for miscellaneous use such as a table for a laptop.
