Rca Universal Remote Onkyo Receiver

We wanted to extend our Stereo system to other parts of the house, and after some research, I settled on this BT device. I'm using the BTA30 on the zone 2 (RCA analog) output of an Onkyo TX-8555 receiver to transmit to bluetooth enabled speakers and sound bars around the house. Since the Onkyo does not have digital audio out, I used an analog to digital audio converter** to go from the RCA output on the receiver to the digital TOSLINK input on the BTA30. Setup was simple and straightforward, just remember that the BTA30 has a volume knob, so remember to turn it at least halfway - i had left it all the way down and was trouble shooting for several minutes until I noticed the knob position - turned it up and it worked! I am experiencing a wee bit of latency if I'm listening to the same music in both zones at the same time, but that's most likely because the speakers I'm transmitting to are not APTX capable. In all, it's not that big of an issue, just something to be aware of. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the BTA30 - and the B&H shopping and shipping experience is second to none! **If you don't have a digital output available, you will need an analog to digital audio converter that accepts RCA audio inputs and digital TOSLINK output. You could use the BH #GEATVDA to accomplish this.

This is a great receiver. I bought it to replace my 30 year old Onkyo Receiver. It is very easy to use. There is nothing complicated to using this receiver. It sounds really good with the speakers that I have. One of my needs was that it have a phono input, and it has one. Some of the other brand receivers in this price range did not have a phono input. It does what it is supposed to do, and I am pleased.

I had integra and Onkyo they both suck it is a great receiver for the money. Once you calibrate it it is all that.

It allows me to either use the remote or the receiver as the switch. I really like it.

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment!

I wish it came in black but other than that has been great. Have it hooked into my Onkyo receiver and watching netflix, hulu, @, dvd's, Blu-Ray's and when my glasses come in tomorrow 3D Blu Ray. Throws out a bright picture that even my poorly light controlled room shows well. (I wouldn't have any light directly thrown on the viewing serface however. MY only gripe is I wish the remote had a laser pointer built in, but then again this isn't a business projector...

I purchased this as a present for my wife. I found it easy to set up and even easier to explain how to use to her. Paired with my Onkyo receiver seamlessly. At this price point I couldn’t be happier!

I bought this receiver to replace my 20+ yo Onkyo TX-NR900 that finally gave out on me. I took another reviewer's advice by going with the NR6100 over a higher model because they said the extra 20 watts was not worth paying twice as much. Plus, there was no need to have 9.2-channels just to play records in my den. I'm very happy I did because this receiver is every bit a worthy 2023 successor to my old, trusty, NR900. It does everything I need and more! The built-in bluetooth is nice and having a central hub that connects all of your devices via HDMI really helps organize your entertainment options. I haven't even explored wireless speaker options yet and looking forward to streaming some tunes to the back porch. Before buying this receiver, I tried with a Denon DRA-800H and it was a disaster. I'm thankful for B&H's return policy and would definitely purchase from them again.
