I love this backpack. Initially I'd used another, somewhat smaller Tamrac backpack with my mirrorless system. But that one was rear entry and I couldn't get used to it. This one is very secure, even working around New York City. The case itself, padding and zippers all feel substantial and I expect it to last for years like my first backpack (a Tamrac roller which was great for the camcorder system but more than was needed for lighter gear). While the retail price makes this a good value, the AS11 happened to come up on sale, icing on the cake. 5 |

Due to some arthritis, it is easier for me to take my camera backpack off in a certain way. It always ends up face down on the ground, so the rear opening of the Shimoda bags is perfect for me. The insert is necessary for this bag but so worth it. I use the small core unit for my Sony G 100-400mm lens. It keeps the lens secure in its place. 5 |
