Rear View Mirror Snow Storm
JEEPMTR | 2024-07-21 05:25:31 |
These radios are amazing. Installed in my Jeep above my rear view mirror and I am stoked about it. It’s small enough to not be in the way but is great for communicating with fellow Jeep’s. I used the ghost antenna so that it didn’t get wiped out by limbs on the trail. I’m thinking of purchasing the 6db antenna to help increase my range. I feel you can’t go wrong with this radio! Will be purchasing another for my sons Jeep. 5 |

Absolutely love them. Specially now while I work on my photography under a snow storm. 5 |

I use the lens for family photos. I occassionally take portraits for friends and cannot wait to put it to use for that. We recently have had a snow storm and I was able to get some great photos of the area as well as the kids playing. Love it!! It is amazing - the difference that this lens makes in photos compared to the lens that came with my camera. 5 |

Although we ended up with a snow storm and UPS took days extra to get this to me B&H had it out within 12 hrs, much faster than any place else I have ordered from! Came in box, new as listed and has worked great since my order. These sound exactly as good as you would expect with this kind of price tag on it! B&H had quick response time with the best price possible! I will be buying again from here! 5 |

I haven't gotten to use these in the cold yet (unfortunately we had an unprecedented snow and ice storm with sub-zero temps for a week straight but I didn't have these gloves delivered yet), but they fit pretty snug and give a good grip on the camera as well as the ability to use all camera functions easily with the pull back magnetized thumbs and forefinger tips. It would be nice if the magnet was a little stronger but it seems to hold once it is set. The zipper pocket is nice to keep extra memory cards in or money or whatever. I wish the Vallerret nameplate wasn't there or that it was embroidered in or something other than a metal-like plate that I think will catch on things and rip off eventually. Satisfied overall. 5 |

I took my new 300 out after a snow storm in remote northern California and used the lens for the first time, it was everything i hoped for and expected. Super fast focus and amazing clarity. In the late winter afternoon lower light it sucked up the light and gave me beautiful shots at ISO64. Yes, it is much heavier and larger than the f4, but that's what you get with pro glass, and i don't mind it at all. 5 |

My first use of the gloves was hiking up to the timberline on Mount Rainier after a snow storm to take landscape pictures at about 7500 feet elevation. My hands were toasty warm and being able to flip open the tips was like nothing ever before. I could easily select settings on my camera without exposing my hands to the freezing temperatures. As a result it was easy to get the pictures I wanted. 5 |

I purchased this case to mount on the rear of my snowmobile. It works great! The rear of a sled gets full of snow which then turns to hard ice. This case keeps a few emergency items and a hooded sweatshirt. Everything stays dry and it's lockable. 5 |

In the mid-1980s I bought a Nikon 7.5mm f5.6 circular fisheye. Being an older design (1966) its rear elements protruded into the mirror box. Fortunately my F3 had a hard physical mirror lockup. The external viewfinder for this lens attached to the camera on the original Nikon F/F2’s proprietary flash shoe. I was able to buy an AS-3 flash adapter for the F3. With the F3s mirror locked up I also had to use an hand-held light meter. With amazing depth of foield focusing was never an issue. The old zoom lens had six filters on a wheel. One was a skylight and the other five were strongly colored for B&W film. While I liked the circular results, using the lens was a hassle. I often had my shoes or forehead in the picture. On a sunny day, my images suffered from solar flares. My new Nikon 8-15mm AF-S fisheye has none of those old problems. It fits on my DSLRs without any problem. It doesn’t need an external finder or separate light meter. At the 8mm setting (and lens hood off) I get a circular image very much like the vintage fisheye. The new lens is faster and focusable. Like my 14mm f2.8 Nikkor, this zoom uses gel filters inserted in the rear of the lens. I really don’t like this arrangement. This fisheye is similar in weight and size to the 14mm lens. I am also not fond of the electronic aperture control first seen on G lenses. Without an aperture ring one cannot use this zoom on older cameras. At the longer end of the zoom range (12-15mm) the image fills the (FX) frame and lens hood stays out of the way. This image is similar to my inexpensive Bower (Samyang?) 8mm fisheye with its fixed lens hood (and DX coverage). So far I haven’t used my new lens much but I think I will like it. 5 |

I bought this Binocular to take to the Grand Canyon. what a beautiful view I got, there were snow flurries and wind blowing and i had a clear picture, because of the no fog lens. It was fabulous. They are light weight, which was great, since I had so many other layers of warm clothes on because of the weather. I would recommend these to anyone. 5 |
