I rarely shoot film at ISO 800, but since trying this film, I have found a lot of reasons to start. I absolutely love this film for portraits. The skin tones and colors are lovely. There's just enough contrast to make the photographs pop but not too much. It works beautifully for subdued landscapes in the late evening and early morning as well. The film scans very well also. Portra 800 is much nicer than the 400 NC/VC series in my humble opinion. I wish Kodak would make this exact same emulsion with a speed rating of 400 and 200 as well. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

As someone who wanted to start filming his own work, I stumbled on this kit. I've heard mixed reviews on it, but so far I'm really happy with it. You have to keep in mind you need to handle it with care as it is made of mostly plastic, so move slowly when plugging wire in and handle with care.

I had a bought a pair of the the binoculars several years ago and have been very pleased with them. I will start by saying they our solid optics function very well and the glass is very good. I have been pretty hard on them as I do a lot of hunting and over the years have gotten some scratches on the lenses. I have hunting trip planned to new Zealand so I contacted them about getting them fixed before I go. they were very fast at responding and they even sent me a return label and They took care of all the issues no questions asked shipped them back to me in a very timely fashion. I'm very impressed with how vortex operates and takes care of there customers they our a fantastic company! I would recommend the binoculars and company to anyone looking at there products.
