Receiver Subwoofer Out

The wireless adapter is simple to connect: plug it into the subwoofer out connector (AVR) and electric...then the receiver connects to the subwoofer...extremely easy with no problems in connection. All cords come with the units. There is no lag in sound and it allows placement of the subwoofer anywhere in your room. It will work with any powered speaker. SVS products are superior in construction and reliability. This is the best one for the price. I have not noticed any problem with restrictions of line of sight. My sub is under a desk and not within the line of sight and the receiver is across the room in a built in bookshelf system. No problems with transmission has been evident. SVS customer support is wonderful--any problems...just contact them. 5 |

My old cable was damaged and this replacement is better than my original. Great for a short distance between the receiver and subwoofer. 5 |

I bought this to connect my Yamaha 5-disc CD player. I have some old Yamaha speakers and subwoofer connected, along with a pair of klipsch bookend speakers. The sound of the system is amazing! I was using a different receiver, and the sound was hallow and not nearly as crisp. This is a great receiver, especially for the money. 5 |

Set-up was fast and easy. I’m using it with a single SVS SB-3000 subwoofer, and the SoundPath receiver can connect to the power source on the back of that subwoofer. If your subwoofer doesn’t have that capability, then the device can get power from a USB source or a standard outlet. Once connected, pairing the transmitter and receiver was automatic and instantaneous. SoundPath allows experimentation with different subwoofer placements without having to worry about cables, and for future relocation. My current configuration has the subwoofer and receiver 22 feet away from the transmitter in a location that would have been almost impossible with cables. The instructions recommend a clear line of sight between receiver and transmitter (in my case, the line of sight was not perfect, but there were no hard obstacles). The device warns you of lost connectivity with a blinking light (you can easily re-pair the devices with the reset button), which I have not had to do. I haven’t experienced interference from phone or other devices, although the nearest internet router is nowhere near the SoundPath receiver or transmitter. One minor complaint: Both the receiver and transmitter have blue LEDs that emit an annoyingly bright light. You may want to consider covering those up. Overall, this was a great addition to my system, as there is absolutely no loss in functionality, and the transmitter and receiver are minimally intrusive. 5 |

I paid less than $100 for the pair. I've had them for a month paired with a Sony subwoofer and Sony receiver. Using them as 2.1 system with tv and blue ray/cd player connected. Also streaming music via Spotify. I've had a number of receiver/speaker combinations over the years, some much expensive, and these speakers sound pretty good. 5 |

This receiver meets my needs. I was able to use my 18 year old B&W subwoofer using the receiver's A speaker outputs to the sub woofer and the subwoofer speaker outputs to my Boston acoustics satellite speakers (would have been slightly easier with a subwoofer out). that left the B speaker outputs for another pair of speakers on my back porch. The only other wish would be for a zone two output (pre amp out) that works with all line in equipment including Phono and not just #4. Sound is great, simple to set up and simple to use. I would buy it again. 5 |

When my old AV receiver died recently I did quite a bit of research and decided to replace it with a TX-SR393. It was easy to connect to my existing speakers, big screen TV and PC. I did have to replace my passive subwoofer with an active subwoofer. I was aware of this from my research. I purchased a Sony SA-CS9 subwoofer from B&H. They met my requirements at a reasonable and competitive price. I'm pleased with both. 5 |

Replaced an older 3 ohms Sony receiver with this 6 ohms receiver and find it to be a good value for the money. It was easy to setup and the EasySetup did a good calibrating the 5.1 system for my small/medium sized room. However, it was not apparent on the packaging (or from the in-store audio person) that it is did not support my perfectly fine passive Sony Subwoofer and required an Active (powered) Subwoofer, causing me an unscheduled purchase of a SACS9. I would like this receiver even more if it had a lower profile, similar to my older low-profile Sony Home Theatre receiver. The volume knob is overly large and takes much of the height of the unit. Since most people use their remote control for surround sound volume control, it is not clear why such a large knob was deemed necessary (again thinking low profile is more desirable in my cabinet). That said, all the buttons and knobs function well and easily. 5 |
