Rechargeable Battery Powered Cool Box

We originally purchased the DXA-MICRO-PRO adapter, which is the same unit except that it is powered by a 9v battery, whereas this unit is powered by a rechargeable battery with an option for an external power cord (USB). Except for how they are powered, and for the addition of the accessory plate, the units are identical. This is the unit to get if you are able to power it from USB or AC-to-USB. Otherwise, your choice is rechargeable battery (this one) or disposable battery (the other one). I hate batteries, so I got this one.

I bought the open box special with the rechargeable battery. Was very pleased to get the light in a sealed box. Charged the battery and was most pleasantly surprised. Light is very compact and handy. For my uses it puts out a goodly amount of light. The focus feature works nicely with a neat working lock. Overall a great little light that does all I want.

I received the gift box version which includes a non-rechargeable, but long lasting lithium battery. This little thing is very bright and is all the flashlight you need for most instances. It was a free bonus included with another purchase, so the price was right! The list price is a little steep, no doubt partly related to the lithium battery, but if you want to give a nice, useful little gift -- I endorse this.

No need to order an extra power cord like I did, the cord comes in the box. With the goggles only able to be powered by this specific battery, I wanted to have an extra. Great system, love the FPV drone.

I use this box both in the studio and on location with a number of studio strobes and smaller battery powered flashes. A couple of brackets let me adapt it to accommodate my Nikon Speedlights, and for many applications this is plenty of light, even outdoors. The box is big enough to provide a flattering light for people, but compact enough to work in cramped environments. I keep one in my location kit (along with two other sizes of Chimeras) and since it's the size I most often pull out, bought this one just for use in my new studio.

I like that the box came with everything I needed to do the installation. Including a retrofit harness that was needed because my old programmable thermostat was battery powered. It’s been working great for 2 months now. Love it

Ive only used it once so far, but out of box its screen worked, showed up charged, and powered my camera. When I put it on my smaller V-Mount battery charger, it was compatible, though the charger gave me a red light for a duration of time before changing green, even though the battery itself said 100% initially.

Great light but getting the rechargeable battery will make you use it so much more often.
