With the Yeti, Reaper, and a laptop, I am all set to record multitrack audio anywhere, anytime. The Latency-free monitoring is simply awesome. Just playing around, I was able to run 8 tracks with midi and VST effects with absolutely ZERO latency when doing overdubs - with a NETBOOK! Given that, I bought a dual core laptop with 4 gig of ram and expect to be able to run as many tracks as my heart desires. The Yeti functions so well by taking the sound card out of the equation, and doing the A/D - D/A conversion in the mic, and it just plain works. The multiple capsules are fantastic, with the stereo option being not too wide sounding, but OK. Recording a very loud guitar amp seems to be the only issue I have run into so far, but I am sure I will be able to make it work. For the home recording folks who want a simple, cheap, yet pro sound, Blue hit it outta the park with this one.

Great little multitrack recorder that is very powerful. Using this to record an entire album with a bluegrass band and it works perfectly. Audio can easily be exported and then put into any DAW program for final mixing if you prefer or everything from mixing to mastering can all be done on the unit itself.

I rarely make videos, but needed to record my daughter singing audition pieces for college applications. Just dipping my toes in the murky waters of videography, I knew an external mic would be beneficial, but didnt want to spend a fortune. It fit my cameras hotshoe fine (Fujifilm T-T3) and plugs into the 2.5mm microphone port. It comes with a fluffy wind-shield, which I didnt use as I was indoors. It costs about half of Fujifilms own brand external microphone. First step was to do a quick test of the Fujis internal mic versus this one. No question that the Rode made an improvement; mostly because it isolated my daughters voice from the incessant droning of leaf-blowers in my neighborhood (aaaah, suburban paradise!). The audition videos turned out very well, so my first serious foray into video was a positive experience. I can attribute much of this to easily capturing good sound, thanks Rode.

I have been using this microphone to record audition tapes for Orchestras. I have been using a zoom H4N as a pre-amp and recording directly into garage band. The set up is not ideal but the quality of the mic is not hidden. I have been recording in a very big room, not too wet, and the mic does a good job picking up both the core of my sound and the reverberant room sound. I look forward to using it in different settings with a better pre-amp and recording software.

I use video to record local performers for either competitions or to create an audition video. In the past, I was using a DVD recorder since I wanted to plug in the audio direct. I was sacrificing video quality though. This camera allow me to plug audio directly into it and yet get great video results at 1080P. The only downside for me is I have pudgie fingers which makes it a little difficult to use the joystick. A nice improvement would be to have it automatically switch to SD memory as soon as you insert the card.

Purchased the mic to record a professional training session. I was amazed at the richness of the vocal quality, the ability to filter out background noise and the ease of set up. Highly recommend this mic.

I used this mic to record a live session of the Irish trad. group that I play with. I thought the recording was awesome considering we were in the middle of an open space in a mall. I would not hesitate to use it again.

But in a good way. The peace of mind knowing that if something unexpected happens during a session the F6 will probably record usable audio. I've been recording choir and band performances with a wide range of volumes. The F6 records it all. The menu isn't the most friendly to work with and the power button is awkwardly placed (hard to reach when in a bag), but overall I am really pleased with the F6. I would certainly buy it again.
