Record Instrument Through Focusrite To Ableton

I am using the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 along with varous dynamic and condenser mics to record and listen back to my drumming practice sessions. It is easy to setup and the sound is crystal clear.

Bought this for my daughter along with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo to record her saxophone playing. Perfect mic for sax, sound is open and sounded great with this combo. Exceeded my expectations for a $99 mic.

I upgraded to this mic after trying several others I already owned. I didn't think the upgrade would be so impressive. I use this mic with the Scarlett Focusrite to record a rather soft and weak female voice in the studio. The sound is powerful and perfectly free of background noise.

I use this for Ableton Live, it's miles away from the old nanokontrol... it will receive midi signals, so when you click something with your mouse in a DAW the corresponding button is illuminated or turns off on your nano. Comes ready with mappings for some DAWs (ableton and others) or you can make your own maps. WIth the preloaded ableton map you can solo, mute, rec, pan, fade, and you can cycle between which tracks you control... control first 8 tracks then hit next track button and control the next 8. No motorized faders but you cant expect that. and the buttons dont stick anymore.

I purchase this item to better record my vocal and none electoral instrument. I was I amazed by how hoe crisp the sound came from my PC. I was so shock that I could not believe that that was my voice. Now working now confidence, learning how to get used to my voice which sound too sweet. The ladies will love it!! The microphone is my universal instrument, whether i have to record vocals or ambience. Outstanding quality and good price !

I'm a musician and video myself a lot playing my instrument. I needed a remote so I don't always have to get up and press the record button between takes. Some reviewers have said that the setup was complicated. Not for me. I'm using a Canon M50 and the remote was up and running within a few minutes. I'd also like to point out that it's really small, which is great so it can disappear easily in my pocket when I film myself.
