Recorders Instrument Class Set

I love the Gator mic bag. I'm actually using it for my handheld recorders for my music tech class. It's the perfect way to keep them in one place and well organized. A great value too. 5 |

Been using these recorders for years. Super easy to set up when using Hikvision Cameras. When using third party cameras, you have to do a few more steps, but they are pretty straight forward. Tech support is pretty good too. 5 |

I have been filming weddings for six years and I have been using a wireless system (rode wireless go recently) along with zoom H1 recorders. While those recorders are amazing for certain situations, the Tascam DR 10L is hands-down my favorite. I prefer them to any wireless system for peace of mind. You never have to worry about any interruptions or disconnects, etc. Sound quality is phenomenal and the feature set is absolutely loaded as well. Coupled with a set of rechargeable AAA batteries, you can’t go wrong. For my particular use, size matters as well. Being able to throw the device in an inside coat pocket is clutch- and you never have to worry about anyone pressing stop or unplugging the system because of all the protective features it has. If you’re on the fence, I’d nudge you in the direction of definitely purchase this thing. Worth every penny. 5 |

If you don't care about timecode, then there are cheaper 32 bit recorders from Tascom and Zoomcorp that do the same job. If you already use Tentacle Sync's to jam your field recorders and cameras or lay down a TC track on a mixer these things are wonderful. When you first get one, set recording to 32 bit. For some reason, it comes with 24 bit set. Given you can't monitor the recording in the US version, just set it to 32 bit and forget it. You can process the recording in post. Name it something. Unlike other recorders, this guy prepends the filename with the name of the device. This is a really, really handy feature. And make sure your mics and sync devices are all powered on and connected to the app when you press the sync to this button. You can do it later, but all at once feels easier to me. Great for filming interviews and scripts. I've also sprinkled a few around during live events to capture additional sound. Basically the same use cases as other recording lav devices, only when dropping it on the timeline, sync by timecode is faster and more reliable than sync by waveform. And far less frustrating than sync by hand. 5 |

For the price, this is going to fit well into any small budget filmmaker or event recorders tool set. It saves a lot of time in post-production audio processing and continues to surprise me with how clean the results are. It fits very snugly on the VideoMic Pro (which it is designed for). I picked this one up for $ in a bundle and the first project you shoot outdoors will recoup that investment. 5 |

I bought a Hercules two instrument stand, but only one set of NINAs came with the stand. These devices make the yoke of the instrument stand more narrow for mandolins, mandolas, banjos, or other instruments with narrow necks or smallish headstock. Thankfully B&H carry spare sets for sale. 5 |

I recently added the Grace Design Felix 2 channel instrument preamp to my stage set-up. The Felix has an insert to handle effects. I've been very conscious of trying to making a clean signal path and this cable makes me proud to have one more link in the chain accomplished with top quality. 5 |

This instrument work great for terrestrial and astronomical viewing. Set up is a breeze as is alignment once you read the instructions. It is extremely portable which makes it far more likely you will use it. I am very pleased with this telescope. 5 |
